I think it's good as long it is unfortified - meaning the B vitamins are not added in. I use Sari brand.

@r-2 @doublecapricorn I think I have read in the past somewhere, you just have to be careful with heavy metal contamination in brewers yeast. So just make sure the brand is tested thoroughly.

@r-2 I wrote to Braggs to ask if there was any beta carotene in their nutritional yeast, and they said there was not. I believe that brand is okay insofar as heavy metal contamination goes. It is fortified, however, which I personally do not mind but mention in case you want to avoid it.
