pelvic floor issues

This post began as a reply to the "dogs and cats detox diet" thread.

On that thread, someone mentioned that their dog had "burning urine" that killed the lawn and that no grass would grow there until the area was cut away!  Once the dog was detoxed this problem resolved.  This burning urine thing makes me think of some of the UTI (urinary tract infection) problems I've had in life, starting quite young.  The first sign is always burning-hot urine.

UTI's often came in spring time, when I began to get sun and work physically.  (detox time?)

Others here have mentioned "foamy urine" as a detox sign (of perhaps kidney detox).

Whenever my grandmother got a UTI she also got vertigo.  (another high-A sign)

I suppose, like skin problems, when an area gets "burned" it is more likely to become infected.

This also makes me think of the post by Dr. G where he mentions "pelvic floor problems".    I wonder if the pelvic floor is another area that vit A gets stored, perhaps leading to issues like UTI, itching, hemorrhoids, fissures, maybe even prolapse?   Someone on another thread mentioned painful intercourse and another mentioned bed wetting.

Besides storage, perhaps these areas could be re-absorbing A vitamins from urine and feces.  ?

Interesting thoughts Lil chick. From my studies many years ago I always recall VA as' supportive' of the linings in the body and so would make sense to me that it would be an irritant in the long term.

I also read some studies mentioning VA with smooth muscles re eyes and then I wondered also about the bladder and of course many other areas. Prior to VA I had observed that mouth breathing at night was linked with bed wetting and likely VA accentuates issues.

Rather amazing how many areas of storage our body finds for VA and curious how it all links with pelvic floor issues.

I have noticed the beginnings of this symptom in myself and loved ones:

Acanthosis nigricans is the name for dry, dark patches of skin that usually appear in the armpits, neck or groin.

oh gosh, when skimming through literature I see that Vitamin A drugs are given as a TREATMENT for Acanthosis nigricans.

hmmm!  the plot thickens.  As we know most symptoms of vit A deficiency and overload are on the same lists...

Ive been going thru  painful  pelvic floor issues.  When there is a fissure at 6 oclock its so much like cheilitis  that I was getting in the corners of my mouth- a sign of VA toxicity.

I could find no research those fissures  to RA.  Is there maybe relief possible, maybe after 6 months to a year?

Fissures like that appear lots of places on my body.   I too am hoping low VA helps.  I would say my here at 4 months fissures are still happening but lasting for less time.

That's an improvement. I think its all related somehow, including cracked heels, cuticles and fingers.  Im hoping by 8 months to a year it all mostly clears up, hope for you as well. It would be wonderful if that finally went away and stayed away, great motivation to keep at this.
