Poll: nighttime peeing and VA detox

The effect of a lower VA on your night time peeing:
Increased frequency
Decreased frequency
Not sure

This is my first poll, I apologize in advance if it is wonky haha.

Please comment on the topic below!   I actually think this is fascinating.

I've noticed that I get up to pee at night much less frequently.    This became much more noticeable when I began to not have an alcohol drink daily (and I'm 5 years on the low-VA slow boat).   I think it is an "aging backwards" type of thing for someone my age to experience less night time peeing.

This might also play in to the idea that these toxins leave the body via urine.   I think I've seen that when I have more toxic things in my day, I'm more likely to pee at night.

My thoughts also turn to children who experience bed wetting and adults with frequency and urgency issues.

We never got up to pee at night, so no difference before and after low vA diet.

Yeah my WAPF kid couldn't hold his pee all night until he was like 10. He is actually peeing less than he used to now at the age of 12, I try to limit vitamin A in his diet, but he eats different than I do.

I used to think:   I can get through the night without peeing if I just try.    It's a nothing but a bad habit.

but that led to discomfort.

Now if I do need to pee at night I make myself do it and I often think this happens on "toss and turn" nights.   I think I sleep much better after finally getting the urine gone.   I think it's quite detoxing.

As Jessica pointed out, perhaps it is about  VA overload AND thiamine deficiency

Which is maybe why I didn't see the result until stopping alcohol.   In the odd case I do have an alcohol drink now, I usually do get up to pee.    Alcohol runs down thiamine.

I think it's worth pointing out here that VA and alcohol come down the same detox pathways.   (VA detox also runs down thiamine)

I've always thought of frequent pee trips at night as a sign of blood sugar issues creeping up on you, but I don't think I'm really a poster child for type 2 diabetes.    It doesn't seem to be my issue.

I'm happy to be able to talk about peeing, pooping, and other bodily fluids here without feeling uncomfortable.

It's hard for me to say. Warm weather obviously reduces my need to pee. I think it's also related to bacterial endotoxins. Let's say I take some antibiotics, I feel an increased urge to pee, even during the night. Pooping is also relaxing.

decades on WAPF.   Most dedicated to beef liver, cod liver oil and ikura during 2010 to 2022.

had to get up to pee often.  sometimes leg cramps drove me to it.

peeing much less frequently now.  and much more easily.  same for pooping.

Started low vA 1/2023 in pain sleeping 15 min naps 3 times a day.   Started working with Nathan and Garrett 2/2023.   By 4/2023, I slept 10.5 hours straight (that is 5 REMs in a row for me) for the first time in decades.

Life is good and getting better.  Uninterrupted REMs are as vital as nutrients.  Real nutrients, not FDA USDA fraudulent toxins masked as nutrients.

I hear you, Joe (REM sleep).   I don't think I felt that REM change completely until I dropped alcohol.   Now if I have a "toss and turn" night I am a miserable ogre for the whole next day.   My body really craves the REM sleep and I think it might be quite a while until my brain is caught up.

As you have pointed out, my diet probably does teeter on the edge of too many VA-type toxins, and the alcohol was tipping me the wrong way.  A helping of spaghetti sauce (so dear to my heart) or curry sauce will also do it.   If I want to be able to sleep and eat some dairy and eggs, I have to keep other things low.   I'd much rather give up the vegs as they have other toxins that I also want to avoid.

Another thing that seems to be getting less frequent is painful muscle cramps (as you mention).

Now if I could only finally get rid of the hot flashes my sleep would be entirely debugged!

If a person is years into VA reduction and NOT sleeping better, I think it probably does show something important still needs to be tweaked.

Test out the soluble fiber, that's like the number 1 thing that soluble fiber helps. Excess estrogen leading to hot flashes and night sweats. It re-circulates in the bile over and over.
