Remedy for heat-related headache?
Quote from dan on April 8, 2019, 4:57 pmWhere I live the weather is now rising to a high of 85-90 degrees (29-32 celsius). I am having new symptoms:
- headache
- hot face
- slightly sweaty hands and feet, otherwise not sweating
- irritable
- more difficult to concentrate
- eyes are dry
- nasal mucus is very dry or has blood
Going outside in bright sunlight, even with skin covered, feels worse right away. Usually I don't mind it and can go for a run.
I do eventually feel hot and sweat, but the headache and other symptoms come on earlier. For example, this morning I napped for hours in full clothing indoors in a warm sleeping bag, and I woke up feeling tired but not hot or sweaty.
Perhaps I'm dehydrated, but drinking much additional water, even with salt added, makes my headaches and malaise worse. My urine is fairly light and foamy.
I suspect these symptoms are related to Vitamin A dryness.
Also it's possible I overdosed on red and infrared light from a light therapy unit, since I've been using it 20-60 min/day for the past few days.
Any suggestions for how to reduce hot-weather headache?
