A number of years ago I read an peculiar stat that here in Canada there is a flurry of hospitalizations for gallbadder attacks and people needing their appendix removed on the day after Thanksgiving Day. Maybe it's not just from overeating, but rather from eating too much pumpkin pie?

I remember having a bad reaction to a holiday meal more than once, and also I remember my grandmother having a bad reaction too. Too much fat, too much VA, too much alcohol, and also throw travel in the mix!
