silver hairs returning to original colour

I have a patch of silver hair at the front/top of my head which only became more apparent the past 3-4 years, plus some hair without pigment and because I keep my hair short I see that a big patch is returning to my original dark ash blond colour. No idea what could be the reason for this now, could it already be from taking one 500 MG pill of EPO? My jar of 30 pills is almost up, it doesn't seem possible that that could be what is changing the colour so quickly... whatever it is it feels positive. Not sure if this update belongs in that thread or not.

Interested.. What is EPO - I assume you don't mean Erythropoietin (the substance sometimes used in doping)?? It's the only EPO I've heard of !

@henrik

EPO = Evening Primrose Oil

It is an oil with a high amount of GLA (Gamma-Linoleic Acid).

I have used it in the past and I think one of the main effects it can cause is vasodialation for better and worse (too low blood pressure). I think GLA is connected to the synthesis of prostaglandins, which can be used to help induce labor in pregnant women during the last stage.

@christian My hair is going back to black or brown hair from grey at the age of 58. It's not as certain as the hair growth returning though so I dont mention it much. Definitely streaky darker in some strands.

My scalp was completely bald (Norwood 6-7). It's begun growing back completely with long light coloured hair at the front where it was lost 23 years ago. It's light coloured so I would not claim it's a cosmetic success yet but slowly I might get there eventually with darker thicker hairs as is happening very slowly. At the crown there is also some light hair growing sparsely where it went bald about 33 years ago and was slick bald.
