I needed to disable self sign-ups because I’ve been getting too many spam-type accounts. Thanks.
spam / troll surge?
Quote from Joe2 on November 6, 2025, 11:37 amIs there an upside to leaving spam / troll posts up as evidence?
Perhaps close the thread and leave the post up so no further comments and replies are posted?
Curious about timing and nature of recent surge. Feels like a large language model is attempting to acquire deceptive skills and improve its Turing score.
Open the pod bay doors Hal.
I'm afraid I can do that Dave.

Quote from Hermes on November 6, 2025, 11:46 amYeah, you got tricked with the cognitive boosting breaks post when you posted a serious reply with your video.
It's almost laughable how obvious the advice is. Seriously? Taking breaks to increase productivity? Who would have thought that. Ah, that's why we had breaks in school.

Not a gamer here. When dvd's first came out, I noticed that x-box was also a dvd player and cheaper than the dvd players that first came out. So x-box was our first dvd player. Came with a free game. Chose Project Gotham. Car racing game through NYC. Each successful race gave access to nicer cars in faster races.
Interesting aside is that the performance traits felt through the controller were accurate to the cars. I realized it because of familiarity driving a couple cars previous to getting the game. Small wonder militaries use game consoles to train operators.
To the point: takes hours of driving to acquire familiarity enough to succeed and acquire better cars. Learned quickly that binging steepens the learning curve. One hour a day for 12 days got a few wins and a few new cars. 12 hours continuous got me all the wins and all the cars.

Ayup, spam surge for sure! I guess trolls have to make a living too...

There might have been a good reason for it, though. Anybody got a guess?

How about 1000 $ an hour?
