taller? Excess curve of your back, anterior pelvic tilt
Quote from lil chick on December 1, 2025, 7:01 amDid Grant get a little bit taller over time? I can't remember, but it rings a bell. This thread is about whether reversing VA-overload can help you return to a more neutral pelvic tilt. (and other related over-curved body formations like bowed legs).
Has anyone here noticed they have gotten taller?
I've been hanging around the YouTube channel of Oscar Patel, (for bite issues) and realized that yet another one of my health notions is just so wrong. My notion was that some people just *genetically* have a more inwardly-curved lower back than others. Nope. Sure, the neutral position is curved in a bit. But not a lot.
I am one of those people who's gut sticks out in front and butt sticks out in back because of a noticeable curve-inward in the lower back. (my current notion is I was born from a VA-overloaded mom). (and I personally was a VA-overloaded mom) My second child, like me, has a more pronounced curve, from birth. My first child doesn't have an obvious tilt but has lower back issues that he fixes with chiropractor exercises.
Perhaps it is in the same category of the "star gazing" neck position (that is related to B1 deficiency). (which is related to VA-overload).
I've complained here about my back issues and how over time they made homesteading no fun.
I do wonder if this back curve might be something that is naturally a little more pronounced in women than in men. But I'm sure that even so, the curve can be too much.
It might be synergistic to work on postural exercises as you VA-reduce. Who doesn't want to be taller? Maybe I can upgrade to a medium-chick.

It would be a nice supplement to his body of work for him to realize that vitamin A overload could be part of the poor development he sees in people.

p. 27 " It will slowly suck calcium out of the bones and teeth. It will distort the very shape of the spine and skull."
p. 83 "heaved spine"
p. 84 "dorsoventral bowing of the lower cervical and upper thoracic spine"
p. 207 "twisted bones, spines and jaws"A web search for hypervitaminosis a will not bring these up, but a search for deficiency will 😉
