Testing for amount of vitamin A in liver storage

Hello,
So if vitamin A in liver is stored in secure form with RBP is there any simple way of testing how much is stored there and if it's full or have some capacity? By simple I mean without undergoing liver biopsy.
I found only this reaserch papers:
