The Production of High Vitamin A Milk by Diet

I think if the mammal was in CHARGE of the amount of vitamin A in milk, I might agree that it was there on purpose.

However, it appears to me the mammal has no control of the amount of vitamin A in the milk, making me think that milk is just *infiltrated* at the same level of the fats of the mammal's blood or body fat at the time of production of the milk.

In the same way that mother might inadvertently pass on other undesirable elements such as alcohol to her child.

I’ve always wondered this about breast milk. Many environmental toxins are passed on through breast milk, including vitamin A. I find it interesting that as vitamin a increases in diet, it also increases in breast milk for some reason. Perhaps this is meant to teach the digestive track how to cope with various elements in the environment. The milk is not only nourish, but also teach. What better way to teach than to expose? 
 

My guess is that the mammal does the best she can do, which is to give the baby other things that help it detox.  (B vities, zinc, C, protein...)

I often wonder if this is why the milk cure worked.  Because they gave only the antidotes, and not the VA portion of the milk. 

If you think on it, to eat butter and not eat the rest of the food is to not eat a whole food.  The "whole foodies" (like I was) are in denial when they toss that stick of butter into the mashed potatoes.

Having and feeding a baby is a massive detox for the women! This was how an environmental toxicologist (Dr Jenny Goodman) described it in a lecture I went to. I found that quite shocking. She said that we evolved in times of low toxicity so this wasn’t such an issue. We didn’t evolve a filter simply because it wasn’t needed. All toxicity flows into breast milk. First child gets the worst toxin dump unless there is time/increased toxin exposure before the second child. It was a fascinating lecture.
