I try eating apples on the other hand and have gas pains all night.

Same here. What's your secret? I ate a bean on Sunday and hours later I had strange anxiety. Pretty sure the scapegoat was that one tiny little bean.

Quote from lil chick on February 6, 2024, 9:22 amI'm one week off peanuts and finally *not* feeling like the guy in the video. I miss them. It seems I can do other types of fiber such as fruit, salad, cooked veggies, berries. But legumes are not my thing. You know, besides peanuts I don't really crave legumes. Other people in my family do them just fine--but those people can't do dairy! I don't think I get rid of gas very easily. As I've written, I can't do effervescence either. Bubbles seem to multiply in my gut. I'm a human Guinness Widget. I have tried the enzymes that they sell for eating legumes, and it does help. But I'm not going to do that.

Yep, just one cannellini bean. It was from a can. You could argue that some of the metal in the can leached into the bean. As for the increased bile causing anxiety, I don't think that's it. It probably has more to do with intestinal leakage, endotoxin getting into the bloodstream, activating TLR4 receptors, causing a stress cascade.

Oh my word that was hilarious!
Well I can tell you what I changed, I'm not sure which change did it though! I started doing coffee enemas a couple months ago. Then I quit my daily cup or two of OJ, then I started doing charcoal every morning and night. I think it was the charcoal. I may have a toxic gut. Regularly eating it though is better than every once in a while.

@christian, wow thats quite stunning! I dont think it is from can leakage, I have eaten so much canned beans and never had an issue, even if I do prefer to cook my beans myself.
But yeah, it probably must be leaky gut.
I am doing a biohack of eating large salads/raw veggies twice a day including my beans, but now I am not cooking the veggies, and eating way more of them too. Also raw cabbage, grated raw red beet, celery, all sort of veggies. Also green salad but I try to limit the darker greens. So far my gut seems to really like this. I am at my second week eating this style. Somehow all of a sudden I got such appetite of raw veggies and salads. When just a few months ago I could not even tolerate raw veggies, I got pain in my intestine from it, but not anymore! I am guessing my gut has healed enough to tolerate it and now craves lots of raw vegies to feed the bugs...lol
The body is fascinating in how it heals / works.
