Toxic Bile
Quote from Hermes on February 6, 2024, 10:51 amWell I can tell you what I changed, I'm not sure which change did it though! I started doing coffee enemas a couple months ago. Then I quit my daily cup or two of OJ, then I started doing charcoal every morning and night. I think it was the charcoal. I may have a toxic gut. Regularly eating it though is better than every once in a while.
@janelle525
The secret has been revealed. I've also been doing coffee enemas for about half a year. And charcoal at least twice a day. I guess I'll have to keep at it and wait a little longer to see some more improvement.
@inger
I hope to heal leaky gut with some additional eggs. Let's see. Andrew has mentioned that he got rid of his SIBO doing four eggs for half a year.
Look at you, eating all the veggies now. You are making regular progress. Sounds like the healthier we get, the better we can eat like normal people again. That sounds like a far-fetched fantasy to me now. It'll make life easier and more enjoyable.

I can not even tell you how happy I am about being able to tolerate raw veggies again..... I was so worried what was going on with my gut! I love munching on a big bowl of all sort of mixed veggies and even sunflower seeds, fermented beans, beans, a nice dressing... oh yum. Its so yummy and hydrating! I want to try this hack because I want to get rid of that dry skin of mine that still is on my lower legs and arms. I am trying to see if lots of raw and fresh food will maybe hydrate my skin again and also all the vitamins and minerals in it. I am eating less animal protein too. I have been eating more than a pound of animal protein / day for so many years now. Maybe it was too much! I am throwing everything I believed was right out the window.
I just made me a niiice dessert whisking 3-4 raw egg yolks with a tiny amount of honey into foam and adding some frozen blueberries to it.. yum 🙂
I will do this at least once a week or twice, to get some raw egg yolks in my diet.

Quote from Jiří on February 6, 2024, 12:42 pm@inger dry skin can be from low iodine.. Females need more iodine to metabolize excess of estrogen from the body.. This is also the reason why females have more issues with thyroid. Btw dry skin is also symptom of low thyroid.. You should make sure that you have plenty of selenium and iodine.. I think having good iodine intake is needed to prevent breast cancer and other estrogen related cancers..

I forgot one that might be relevant. I have been using betaine hcl with meat meals for several months now. I don't seem to need it much anymore. But betaine spares choline. I'm not so sure eggs are beneficial though. I wasn't convinced by the long egg thread! I'm more of a fan of betaine than choline which also showed to work as well as choline to rescue retinoic acid poisoning in mice or rats can't remember. You can use TMG for betaine if you don't need more acid.
Also be careful of potassium deficiency with the coffee enemas! I'm weaning off them.

@jiri, that is very unlikely in my situation, because I have used high dose Lugols several years ago for some time, and since then I once in a while paint my breasts with Lugols to make sure I get enough iodine. I also eat seafood here and there, and I now started to eat some seaweed again. But who knows. At least I am aware of this issue and that is why I now included seaweed, also because I eat raw cabbage which can I think be a little bit goitrogenic if not enough iodine present. The dry skin have been for years already though, so the cabbage cant be the cause.
I dont really think I am low thyroid because I am quite warm, almost too warm, and my metabolism seem to work great. I just dont have much of low thyroid symptoms, rather over active thyroid I would say...
