@David, when I log on there are ridiculous articles that come up because of the default google search engine, and this article would be exactly the type of thing that would come up.   You are right it is propaganda and advertising wrapped in fluff.

I hold the hope close to my heart that most people are onto the fact that everything from the media is propaganda and advertising at this point.

Last night hubs watched an ancient movie, probably close to 100 years old.  Even that had propaganda in it, although with a softer touch and more class.

@lil chick

There is so much noise and not much substance in the media world.

Compare it with Grant Genereux's writings that are simple and with many real world applications that could have earth shattering implications.

Fakeness, ads and propaganda promotions in the common media world can't come close to that realness of titles as: "Poisoning For Profits".

@lil-chick Some of my Facebook friends post emotionally manipulative political memes, which are full of false statements and logical inconsistencies. Propaganda in the social media age! I also dearly hope the majority is aware of how many lies are being told...

In college, I learned that one of the first serious animation films was propaganda. It showed the sinking of the RMS Lusitania by a German submarine, which killed 1198 passengers. A tragedy, certainly:

However, the ship was loaded with weapons and explosives being brought to the British, which the Germans knew about... They had actually tried to post notices in newspapers warning Americans of the dangers of voyaging across the Atlantic during a time of war, but since J. P. Morgan owned several newspapers (and he stood to loose his business empire if the Germans won the war, therefore he wanted America outraged enough to enter the fight also) only one paper out of over a hundred the German embassy paid to print the notice actually did so.

In the 40s, Walt Disney Studios made so much propaganda for the government that over 90% of their staff were working on it.

Very interesting about Buffet David. Thank you for sharing. I always thought he was a fraud. Like Gates who didn't invent windows and had rich daddy elite who was friends with all the usual suspects...

You start to see the propaganda everywhere - same old story, genius, drops out, builds massively profitable company etc etc, anyone can live the American dream (or however it’s sold in different countries)

I don't think Buffett is someone anyone should associate with or even discuss in any positive matter, which in this case is doing a vitamin A detox diet.

I think we all could see that first posted article about Buffett's 90th birthday was just a commercial for Coca-Cola Cherry and McDonald's while also indirectly connecting it to a long and prosperous life, here Warren Buffett's.

Connecting commonly known bad and unhealthy things such as sodas and fast food to a long and prosperous life will cause some degree of cognitive dissonance in anyone reading the article and stir the reader's brain to mush. The article is simply created to say all kind of unlogical things. Here is a made-up example of an unlogical idea in the article and made-up one example of why connecting Buffett to any vitamin A detox is a BAD idea.

"With a vitamin A detox diet I can eat unhealthy fast food and drink sodas every day."

"Of course a vitamin A detox diet is a crazy idea, they think you can drink sodas and eat fast food every day and still be healthy."

Discussing the ideas of this non-content of an ad that is made to look like an article won't do any normal people any good.

PS. Another cognitive dissonance thing is:

"Why would two of the world's most rich men, Gates and Buffett, eat fast food and drink sodas? -The article even says that one steak , rib eye, for 50$ is modest lunch option." Modest and 50$ lunch steak is also unlogical for common people.

McDonald's, Burger King, and Five Guys...will any of them rot after 30 days?
