What changes energy sources and weight levels?

Metabolic adaptability between ketones and carbohydrates is the problem so many have consciously worked on for at least a decade. This is what Mercola was working on just before he got attacked and shut down by Faucists.

Metabolic adaptability is what a few of us have consciously worked on these last 10 or so years. Mercola had just started experimenting on it after a decade on keto and before the Faucists attacked his business and family.
Feels like you grokked the metabolic minutiae. That is not a criticism. It is a step. From a skinny guy, I think my experience in 12 years of one meal a day concurs with what you are saying. Previous decades of metabolic hardship reinforce that. Hard to say more given my stature and difficulties gaining weight. Also hard to say since I was WAPF that whole time.
I think intermittent fasting is a better way to go. I think we all do it to varying degrees. The opposite is constantly eating. I have tried and have seen the results of that idea. The results are uniformly bad.
Our species excelled BECAUSE we were able to succeed with stressors. Extremes of cold, heat, lack of water, lack of calories,...... We are built to convert distress into eustress. We are built to improve and grow stronger by that process.
Problems arise when we fast too long or when we break fast badly. Curious to see longer term results in your experiment. Especially once you start doing this with zero supplements. Noteworthy too that the best sources of the nutrients you outlined are all meat.

Quote from Joe2 on September 1, 2025, 1:24 pmI make excellent yogurt. Or used to. I also ate saur kraut as a side dish. Loved steak with couple eggs over easy and a cup of saur kraut on the side. Usually with a couple cups of steamed brocolli and a cup of sour cream too. I would probably be eating that way still if not for the organ meats.
