When did your apetites start increasing and when did it go back to normal?

I am just curious, as I am eating food that could sustain a smaller village for a week, per DAY now. It started ca 3 months in, and specifically 1 wk post surgery so have been eating truckloads of food for 3 weeks now.

Before, i could easily go a day w/o food, it did not affect me. Now, keeping 3 meals/day is a struggle. I want to eat all the time πŸ˜‚ It is not that I am hungry, it is more like my body is screaming for food, mostly meat.

Please share your experiences πŸ™‚Β  I find this topic very interesting.

I find it varies with my cycle and with my sleep.

I need way more food before my period. I have 2 or 3 days when I want to eat like crazy. I need mostly more proteins and fats on those days. Carbs don't do much.

When my sleep is subpar, I need more carbs to sustain myself throughout the day.

Since going low A, I don't give a damn about what or how much I'm supposed to eat. I eat as much as I need to and follow my body's lead.

For example, I was eating a lot of sugary foods the past few days and today, I felt that I truly had enough. I feel I need salty foods now. I'm trusting my body, not authorities. Don't trust your tongue and drugged brain though or you will end eating nothing but junk food ☺

I sure hope your craving passes, but I see this as a sure sign your body is healing. Sick people usually have poor appetite and digestion.

My apetite used to vary as well, I have never had poor apetite πŸ™‚ but now it is just out of control every day of the cycle πŸ˜‚. I heard about this phenomenon before it kicked in so I was expecting it at some point, and dr G mentions it as well.. Now I know what it is about πŸ˜‚

The cravings should go down! I find the meat cravings last for no more than a week. Β By day 5 I start to crave more apple juice, pretzel bread, pears and a normal amount of meat. Β It’s annoying because it can get expensive to keep up with that much meat.

I am having food cravings at the one month mark. It was always hard to not have the veggies filling me up as much (can have so few) but seems worse around 1 mo mark. It could be too that i've been traveling and so less access to fruit. The fruit fiber helped me feel full.
