Why does that list of B6 toxicity look like a list of VA toxicity/detox?

Could it be that the extra B6 starts shaking up the VA things?  Sort of like taking too much sunshine, or too much booze?

I’ve recently purchased Dr. Smith’s Vitamin A Detox Program (currently it’s a one time fee of $39.99 for access to his private forum, and some of his conclusions about the detox process so far). It was only just updated this week to provide new dietary recommendations with a detailed explination of the ADH and ALDH stuff Grant has been writing about here and in his recent blog post. It’s VERY insightful, and I will be implementing all of Dr. Smith’s new recomendations ASAP.

I would like to ask if there is something about the copper deficiency on the low VA diet in the private forum, I don't need the exact information (I will buy then the detox program), just whether there is any mention at all, this is the only thing that interests me. Thanks.

Bludicka,

What if the VA stinginess goes hand-in-hand with copper stinginess?

I typed this into the google machine:  "what foods are low in copper" I got something that sounded to me like the agriculturalist diet of some parts of Europe and Asia:

Low Copper Foods:
  • Beef.
  • Eggs.
  • White meat turkey and chicken.
  • Cold cuts and frankfurters that do not contain pork, dark turkey, dark chicken, or organ meats.
  • Most vegetables including fresh tomatoes.
  • Breads and pasta from refined flour.
  • Rice.
  • Regular oatmeal.

Me talking again:  When you are stingy with something (vitamin a or copper) and you live in a situation with lots of that thing, well, you may get toxic!

People think that Europeans are white-skinned because they get more vit D from the sun that way.  But maybe it is because whiter animals are more copper-sparing.  I remember learning this when I used to keep goats.  Your darker goats will get copper deficient first.  Melanin needs copper.  (And, as I've pointed out before, Europe is full of white domesticated animals such as the Saanen Goat, the Great Pyrenees Dog and the Leghorn Chicken).

Aside:  I was standing under my maple tree which is bright orange today and thinking about how the tree gets rid of it's carotenes  by literally exfoliating.   My face is the same way, LOL.

The picture - the same is true for people.

"What if the VA stinginess goes hand-in-hand with copper stinginess?" - People with Wilson's disease are definitely super copper sparing (maybe ex-carnivores) and copper toxicity in liver impairs ALDH enzymes, then probably VA toxic too.

There is a zinc/copper post, mainly copper should never be supplemented.  Get enough with food.   But Zinc status can really distort copper status.   Recommends hair and blood testing to see whether one should need to use them.

Thanks,  the same story with vitamin D - should never be supplemented. But when Dr. Garrett Smith tests people on this low VA diet, he should see if they are deficient in copper, he specialized in hair analysis and nutritional balancing, he understands the issues related to the copper  - so probably most people are not deficient.

I was thinking about how people on lowered VA diets get browner, like your goat above!    Why would that be?

MAYBE high VA in the tissues Blocks the Usage of Copper.  (Creating more copper toxicity)

I said the other day, when I posted a pic "Even I'm surprised at the lack of melanin I display".  hahaha.... I'm noticing I have a slight darkening of my eyelashes, which had become entirely clear and also sparse.  I have little styes along the lash bed that are trying to exfoliate.  Some lashes are growing in backwards, into the eye, LOL.  But they are trying to recover.  Just an example that the inflammation has to go away for the copper to be used by the melanocytes.  The melanocytes can't do their work.

For some reason I can eat sourdough bread and sugar, but I cannot eat rice and oatmeal. Severely worsens all symptoms. Maybe the problem is resistant starch

Or maybe bacteria in the sourdough is removing the glyphosate?...
