Anyone here consuming honey?
Quote from Jiří on September 6, 2023, 9:14 am@tim-2 so how many sugar(fructose) are consuming Hadza people on average and how many sugar(fructose) are consuming people who are on SAD? I think Hadza people are consuming much less and also they are active a lot and they eat overall much less calories.. Fructose is problematic mainly in combination with calorie surplus and inactivity.. If you are constantly depleting glycogen from the liver fructose is not a problem, but if your liver is already fatty and you are drinking coca cola while watching netflix that is different story..

Quote from Hermes on September 6, 2023, 11:48 amI used to eat a tablespoon of honey at bedtime when I learned that Seth Roberts found that honey improved motivation the next day. Others have followed the tweak and reported similar results, very interesting.
For a snack, a piece of toast with some honey is delicious. There are also some antibacterial properties of honey that are interesting. When I get burned, I put some honey on the wound and wrap it in aluminum foil. Works every time to speed up healing.
Now honey prices have really skyrocketed. I guess last year was a bad summer. Another problem that no one is talking about: the aggressive expansion of 5G is increasing exposure to non-radiating emissions, which also affects insects, including bees. If this continues, we won't have any bees left.
Imagine what an empty world that would be. Einstein is said to have said the following, not sure if it is actually wrongly attributed to him, anyway, nice poignant bonmot: "If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live.”

Id be carefull with eating that for extended periods of time. The extra ingredient in Manuka is Methylglyoxal which is highly toxic. so much so that there is an upper tolerable level to be allowed to sell it. Its sort of acts like an antibiotic and can kill some pathogens but it puts a strain on the body. Personally I get sick if I eat it for any extended period.
