B12 injections as possible antidote to vitamin A toxicity

Quote from Hermes on May 20, 2025, 12:55 pm@itsme Yeah, I don't know what's going on either. Grant makes an extraordinary case for the toxicity of VA. In other words, he shows that increased function correlates with the depletion of VA over the years. I want this increased function. That's what I'm after. I think we simply haven't yet figured out the best way to detoxify VA or to make the body use up the existing VA. The egg idea seemed promising. However, I haven't experienced the desired boost. It can't be that people like us go on this diet and don't experience significant improvements. You're right, something is amiss. But what is the missing piece? Or pieces? Shrugging my shoulders.
What makes you think the Low Toxin Forum has become cult like?

Quote from Inger on May 27, 2025, 8:20 am@itsme that is what the legumes are for. They work like cholestyramine but without the side effects. I am very thankful for the bean protocol of Karen Hurd, I am on the third year of doing it and I am steadily improving.
It is very hard though because you have to avoid any stimulants, so no caffeine, no teas, no sugar in any form, no chocolate, no alcohol and so on. No perfumes... You basically become a baby again eating plain food and drinking water lol. Lots of trauma work involved for me because when not overstimulated anymore, all the shit will come up 😉
I have cheated here and there but still had a lot of healing happen. Most days I am good and dont cheat though. What it has done for my nervous system is the best thing. I am feeling much more myself these days and so much stress resilient.

Quote from Ourania on June 10, 2025, 7:14 pmGood find @tanveen ! But I don’t very well understand the implications. Could adenosylcobalamin help in getting rid of carotenes? And how? Would it help in detoxification? After more than 5 years my husband is still finding orange sweat under his arms.

Quote from Tanveen on June 11, 2025, 12:52 amI am not a scientist so I’m not completely sure how it works - perhaps someone can chip in here? I had a year of dioreah after the covid vaccine and 6 b12 injections stopped it (I’d tried loperamide, bulking agents etc) but nothing worked. I am also assuming that the information on Wikipedia is correct (!)

Quote from Tanveen on June 11, 2025, 1:33 amIt would not surprise me that just as they have promoted vitamin/poison a, they have downplayed other vitamins such as b12. My b12 blood tests were within the normal range yet it helped. It may also explain why the nhs is making it harder to get b12 injections whilst giving out d3 like sweets (especially to old people). I am starting to think b12 is much more important than they make out but the amount could be different for everyone (just a theory).

Quote from Tanveen on June 11, 2025, 5:21 amOn the other hand the research could be corrupted like the vitamin a research. I have no idea what this study means with regard to our vitamin a detox https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35589201/
May be it would have been better to let the dioreah continue if it was getting out the vitamin a?

Think there is a link between thyroid/liver/bile flow/gut bacteria and carotenoid processing and b12 but not sure of the exact mechanism. Have found low vitamin a diet and b12 have helped. I am referring to the articles NOT to suggest increasing retinol but to show that there is a connection.
