Beef, Vitamin C, and Iron Overload Caution

Hi John,

Yeah it's so frustrating. Allopathic doctors need to be either clueless or low in empathy to do what they do, which is peddling drugs or surgery and not trying to identify the cause of health problems. When these same doctors encounter an important health issue themselves they often avoid the treatments they promote and work hard to identify the cause of their problem.

You shouldn't have to go to a specialist but I hope that works out for you. It can be difficult for many of us to do this with a doctor but we should stand our ground and aggressively demand what we want when a doctor is not complying with our request especially when they are contradicting science.

In the future I hope that everybody has a universal right to blood letting. There are two other options, hookworms and leeches. Leeches release substances that prevent/treat heart disease also. Leeches have a very long history of medical use. You can keep leeches as pets, you need quite a few for significant blood loss. Hookworm therapy is a very promising treatment. Nector americanus is the hookworm used but they feed on less blood than the old world hookworm. Hookworms can help regulate an overactive immune system and help with autoimmune disease. A significant number of them can help lower iron but you really need to get phlebotomies first at least. I'm not advising you to use hookworms or leeches, just letting you know about it. You have to order them online with Bitcoin, this is due to the Western medical mafia not approving of it. Many parasites we can catch from pets and from eating undercooked or unhygienic  food are harmful because they can invade the organs, hookworm is different though it only lives in the intestine. Most people had hookworm in Paleolithic times, it is acquired through the larvae burrowing into barefeet. It is a healthy symbiotic parasite for us. Sadly one hundred years ago Western govs launched big campaigns to eliminate it, large infestations can lead to anemia.

The Old Friends Hypothesis is the idea that the developing world has a lower rate of auto immune disease due to parasite infection. There are also at least two other important differences between the developing world and the West and that is they have more Vitamin D and less Vitamin A in general.

I just replied to him basically saying “not bad” is unacceptable when I have actual numbers out of range and many symptoms indicating iron overload.  I requested a phlebotomy and asked for an explanation if he still doesn’t order me one. And basically wanted to escalate the matter.

Not sure if I’m willing to do the leeches or hookworms, probably self phlebotomy would be a last resort.

Someone said they ran into some science articles indicated the original strains of measles use to help us fight vitamin A toxicity until western science changed that. I haven’t looked into it.  From his words, it was vitamin M.

Oh and there’s an orange GMO rice called Golden Rice with very high absorption that they’re going to give out for free in the developing world to “prevent” vitamin  A deficiency.  Are there any other GMO foods given out for free?  Isn’t vitamin A so abundant in all kinds of foods.

Nice, sounds like you handled it like a boss!

I also got way to much iron on a low VA diet. I think those who say avoiding dietary iron is pointless don't know what they're talking about. I think this is a pretty good article about iron. https://raypeat.com/articles/articles/iron-dangers.shtml

Yes but I pretty much severed my relationship with him and need to find a new primary care. But i know it’s for the best.

Wow , I just read through the first answers and I’ve read enough.  I already suspected iron poisoning from fortified cereals. Everything makes sense.  I ate tons of cereal and chocolate candies , and lots of fruits (vitamin C) through grade school.  I hate to talk about conspiracies cause it’s frowned upon. So I won’t. ☺️

I really need to get going on my bloodletting.

You need Vitamin A to balance and clear iron!

Prior to finding out that retinoids and carotenoids are merely toxins, I had been eating a low iron diet.   During this time I was also taking retinol supplements and eating copius amounts of fruits and vegetables.    My blood labs showed that I was extremely high in iron after 4 years of that regimen.

You need more than just one marker to see where your iron is at and more than just Retinol to balance iron, but it is one of the main nutrients you need to make copper bio-available and keep iron in check.

During this time I was also taking retinol supplements

Food is always best and the dose makes the poison.

Magnesium needs to be refilled over years to balance out a deficiency too. It's not coming overnight.

Lot's of balancing work, best done with foods and topical magnesium. Then adjusting the rest and iron will fall back into place.

Are we saying vitamin A if good for us now? Have I been slowly poisoning myself with iron on this no A diet?

Vegetables are high in non-heme iron and fruits high in C which increases non-heme absorption. So it seems to  makes sense.
