Beef, Vitamin C, and Iron Overload Caution
Quote from bludicka on December 28, 2019, 10:46 pmNot only iron but too much copper makes a person more sensitive to EMFs. Copper is a very good conductor.
But you can have mild copper deficiency with iron overload.... because iron is antagonistic to copper and too much zinc is antagonistic too (diet only beef and rice can cause copper deficiency).

Morley says we need ceruloplasmin for iron metabolism.... He is wrong about some things as VA and controversial but in some ways his views are interesting. He studied iron toxicity very extensively:

You can test ceruloplasmin, copper and to calculate "free copper" - unbound to ceruloplasmin:

Quote from bludicka on December 29, 2019, 12:22 amOne question... why Grant doesn't have iron overload from beef in all those years? His iron lab values serum iron, TIBC, transfferin, ferritin 175 - little higher (range 30-400) are ok. And Grant's diet is simple, doesn't use calcium, I don't know if he drinks tea, low in oxalates, phytic acid, not too much fibre, no sugar (enhances absorption of iron).
And the first year his diet was mostly beef, egg whites and rice, no beans.
Too much beef, iron from foods, vitamin C can be problem but I think this iron thing is more complicated... some people can have from various reasons problems with iron dysregulation and metabolism.

I’ve had two hair test analysis this year about 5 months apart, one pubic and the second head hair. Both showed very low copper, very low cobalt and very high silver. But there is some science to analyzing it because it can be a little tricky. I could be high on one thing in hair and actually be low in the body. But with that said, my probable high iron intake would make sense for my low copper in my hair.
Thank you for the links. I will check them out right now.
Update...read through the interview transcripts of Morley Robbins. Very very interesting about iron copper magnesium vitamin C and A . I’ll probably do his blood panel test. I may need copper and will start taking magnesium again.

Grants body may be good at regulating iron. There is a protein or something that regulates iron absorption. Mine may be disregulated from mercury toxicity and or hep B.

Could we say that nature seems to think it’s necessarily for life? Just thinking out loud. I don’t know what to believe anymore. "
This seems like the same question about breast milk - why would retinol be in breast milk if the babies don't need it? If the mother didn't eat foods with it, then it wouldn't be in the milk. If the human mother or chicken gets PCBs or dioxin in their diet, then the milk or egg have it too. If they don't get those toxins in their diet, then the milk and eggs don't contain it.
Is the yellow color of the yolk due to vitamin A? Seems like we can experiment with a non-a diet on chickens to see what color the yolk would be with no A....

On this thread I went off on a tangent about how some of the problems we are finding with VA might be about the fact that corn is the basis of so much of agriculture now. (it is a new-world food, and wouldn't have been the basis of agriculture in Europe in the past)
In that thread you can see a white-yolked egg picture, from chickens who were fed on a rice diet.
I definitely believe the VA value of an egg is VARIABLE. I see it with my own chickens.
here, I copy/pasted the pic

Hair analysis is not reliable for copper, I had low copper in hair analysis before chelation even though I had a high amount of toxic copper in my body - but this was not usable, bioavailable and I had high "free copper", low ceruloplasmin. And during the chelation and copper detox my copper got very high.
Mercury can cause disregulation of many minerals and low ceruloplasmin because of adrenal fatigue.
Very high silver - did you take colloidal silver?

I guess that answers my question. Very interesting. I suppose if it hatches it would be white haired instead of yellow?

Quote from lil chick on December 29, 2019, 5:03 pm@john I don't know if you were joking or not, but the idea of a white-furred chick made me smile. 🙂
However, I do believe the chick's color would be typical for the breed!
I do have another theory though, and that is that orange/brown/warm colored pigments MIGHT be an adaptation to living in a world filled with vitamin A pigments! (a way to use up unwanted pigments)
I personally have no orange in my pigmentation. My toxic cat is also colored without any orange in his fur. My non-toxic cat is ginger! The plot thickens: my ginger cat detoxes PURPLE pigments out of his eyes, staining his fur.

Quote from John on December 29, 2019, 5:13 pmNot that I know of. I took this nose spray for Marcons a few months before this and fried bunch of supplements so maybe from them? I’ve been wondering why myself.
It was higher on my first test so it would seem I was still accumulating. But ones pubic and the others head hair so can’t rely on that either. I might have to get another head hair test or two actually under different names to see how consistent the lab is.
