Cutting back on sal's and using this device for all meals has helped a great deal.   I can speak again, to my husband's chagrin.

This is interesting. I'm sorry you are dealing with that. I wish I knew what helped me, I used to get them really bad. Haven't had one in yrs and I use regular crest toothpaste, mouthwash and fluoride rinse as part of Dr. Elly's mouth system.

Thanks, I'm feeling much better!    Mysterious symptoms from mysterious exposures, I'd say.   But so very hard to parse from "well I just caught something, just got run down, just had stress" or whatever.

Maybe the soluble fiber has had good effect on the rebound from this setback.

But, yes, the only other time I had a debilitating mouth ulcer was when staying in a hotel.    I also felt like my mouth and throat were burned, my tongue was swollen.    Dry cough, some sneezing and scary boogers too.   Some eye irritation, not a lot.   Ringing ears.   The worst of it was the tongue, which was coated, dry and swollen.

I quit taking vitamin C for a few weeks last spring and got a canker sore.  I don't know if I had ever had one before but it healed up and went away after I resumed the vitamin C.
