Does low A help fix mercury and aluminum toxicities?
Quote from hillcountry on October 26, 2019, 3:53 amQuote from bludicka on October 22, 2019, 9:24 pmHigh aluminium can be a sign of mercury toxicity, the mercury holds the other metals in the body. Once someone chelate the mercury with ALA, the body will excrete the aluminium. The body can get rid of aluminium when detox pathways are not messed up by mercury.
You can post your hair mineral analysis in this FB group "Andy Cutler Chelation: Safe Mercury and Heavy Metal Detox" and ask for interpretation.
Don't take "alternative chelators" if someone is seriously toxic, these can stirr up mercury and other heavy metals in the body:

Thanks for the Andy Cutler link.

Quote from Vicsongwriter on December 10, 2022, 1:46 pmHey guys, Vic Carey here from Smiths network, thought I’d try posting here for the first time, I will be low VA did 3 years at the end of next March, my urination dysfunction and pain is still unbearable though, like literally still suicidal level bad, I’m looking into mercury poisoning now, there’s some research out there that suggests so many people can be so mercury toxic, there’s no other way to address it other than Chelation, which pisses me off to no end because it’s a super complicated dangerous process from everything I’ve read, what a nightmare for so many of us, do any of you know anything about this or have any recommendations? It’s pretty sad that this diet alone can’t detox mercury poisoned people but it’s looking like that may be the case for me, thanks everyone

Quote from Hermes on December 10, 2022, 1:58 pm@vicsongwriterOn the top of my head, I'm thinking about activated charcoal which is like a sponge soaking up all the nasty stuff in the body (including minerals and vitamins too). This might be something to try. In this paper [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4055906/] the authors mention activated charcoal being a possibility, despite being controversial as it says. There's other compounds being mentioned, among them: DMSA. succimer, and DMPS. I have no clue what those two are about. Never heard of them.

@vicsongwriter Have you cut back on oxalates on purpose or by accident as part of VA detox? I think oxalates have a lot to say about urination problems and pain in the plumbing. They say dairy helps...

Exactly. Selenium is main antagonist for mercury. I felt pretty bad when I started taking 200mcg of selenium.

I was also quite toxic from many mercury amalgam fillings. I had them all removed in 2021. I was extremely sensitive to magnetic fields and electromagnetic radiation prior to having them removed. It took several months to notice a big change in my health. I have taken activated charcoal every morning with breakfast since I started low A in 2018. The activated charcoal will bind the mercury from your liver that gets spits out with bile each time you eat anything with fat in it. I think when you get rid of the mercury stored in your liver, the body shuffles it out of other places back to the liver, where you can continue getting rid of it with activated charcoal.
I had read that it takes years or even decades to get rid of mercury stored in your brain. But I think the activated charcoal really speeds up the process! I also haven't had any detox setbacks while taking activated charcoal!
