How scary that prenatal vitamins contain vitamin A... I thought pregnant women were advised to avoid vitamin A? Madness. 😡

Actually, this is a study of hyperglycemia, not sugar. Sugar is half fructose, which almost does not raise glycemia. Starches like rice are digested to glucose and have a higher glycemic index than sugar.

So this study is more likely to replace rice with sugar. But I'm not sure that fructose doesn't cause problems in other ways.
