Dr. Goldner: Lupus Cured on a Lowfat, Plant-Based Diet!
Quote from Andrew on June 17, 2023, 2:57 pmThis is very interesting to me. When I started to be vegan I was initially raw vegan. This went fine but led to chronic low energy levels, as I just couldn't consume enough calories. However, perhaps one of the keys to improvement here is the low-fat part, due to VA fat-solubility. I think that my vegan diet was only detrimental once I began to cook sweet potatoes, kale etc very regularly with oil.

I cut and pasted this from another site, don't know if it is true:
- Wahls Diet (Level One): You’ll give up all gluten and dairy, and focus on consuming 9 cups of fruits and vegetables each day.
- Wahls Paleo (Level Two): You’ll stop eating grains, and limit potatoes and beans to two servings a week. You’ll incorporate seaweed and fermented foods.
- Wahls Paleo Plus (Level Three): This level is a ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting. It eliminates potatoes, beans, and legumes, and limits fruit to one serving, preferably of berries. It incorporates coconut milk and limits meals to twice daily, with a long fast.
I’ve been looking into Terry Wahls recently, and her diet for MS isn’t anything special other than your typical healthy eating advice and she gives super basic reasons for each foods , like oh this is good because it has antioxidants. So I wasn’t really impressed with her at all.
So I guess the main reason why she is popular is because she fixed her own MS with her approach and she is an MD.
https://youtu.be/txmg91lowk0 - I don’t mean to critique her but she seems very slow, low metabolism, high serotonin. She says consumes a lot of fermented foods, carotenoids, liver once a week, fish, fish oil. eg: Aldehydes =Acetaldehyde producing ethanol giving her this sort of drunk like state. I bet she won’t be able to tolerate alcohol properly.
