I needed to disable self sign-ups because I’ve been getting too many spam-type accounts. Thanks.

Ah, yeah.. Rice + meat = ass concrete. That is why Grant added beans (I was told when I suffered the same) . Do you have beans in your diet?
I second dates but they have a little bit carotene! Dates, black beans, a bit of whatever fat source tolerable some salt, cocoa if you can tolerate it, and wham, you have yourself a deliscious drilling tool.
Sun dried figs are afaik vit A free and has helped me in the past (i can eat a whole lb in one sitting). Shitload of beans (pun) usually helps me with concrete issues as well. And fat, like almond butter! Just fiber overall and plenty of liquid. Maybe hold the rice until you are back on track? Oatmeal is fantastic also. Let us know what worked 🙂

Quote from John on March 26, 2019, 10:17 pm1 fig has about 90 iu of VA. Dried has 14 iu. Nutritiondata.self.com
kiwi has more at 159iu for one.
Not gonna do kiwi. Dried figs more likely, I’ll just have to turn into a fan of it. Lol
I do have beans every meal just as much as rice. But I’m gonna cut out rice for now. What were we getting from rice anyways? Replacements?

Quote from Rachel on March 27, 2019, 4:06 amI am unable to consume rice at the moment and have been using potatoes and oats as alternatives. I have been v constipated for years but am finally seeing some improvements. I go most days and the consistency is improved. I think the oats have made the most difference. I am eating approx. 165g a day (dried weight).
It's only been 4 - 6 weeks since I started low VA and it started to improve pretty much straight away.

Quote from John on March 27, 2019, 7:53 amNice Rachel. I can do potatoes and oatmeal! Just drop by Wendy’s for some baked potatoes. Oatmeal is easy and quick to make.
All this cooking and eating at home has taken a lot of my day away.
