I am sorry but I just cant take naturalnews seriously.  I have come to be on quite the opposite opinion actually, zeolite being rather safe and has been proven safe in toxicity studies as well, as mentioned in the review. And without side effects. But to each their own of course 🙂

Rice is well known for absorbing arsenic from the soil and the water it grows in. Rice protein is no different as it is derived from the same. Many herbs and supplements esp from asia ie from areas that grows cotton, for example, or the textile industry, tend to be contaminated with arsenic, lead and other heavy metals. Not to mention our poisonous oceans amd what are in them. I personally stay away from foods and supplements grown/manufactured in china, pakistan or asia overall for this reason. It just sucks that the "business" is not better tested and regulated. Was your arsenic high before you began the herbal protocol too or do you think you got it from there?

I followed many health authorities for years… and it often cost me a lot of suffering because I believed them... I have learned it hard way that I have to trust my own intuition, the signals of my body and that my health is in my hands. For ten years I was most of the time bedridden, I could not work, I had almost no mental and physical energy for anything... I do not care, what is authority for someone or not.

Zeolites are safe... it's possible, for someone who use zeolites for general detox for a limited period of time and has no serious health problems and the zeolites were tested for purity. But if you go to Andrew Cutler Chelation group, nobody use there zeolites for heavy metals chelation. Why? Because it doesn't work and you cannot chelate brain with zeolites, zeolites remain only in the intestine and have no affinity to mercury ("Andrew Hall Cutler : Zeolites don't remove any mercury from your body. As long as you are clear on this, they're fine to use for whatever other benefits they convey."), you can use zeolites for ammonia, parasite die off, yeast die off. And if you are chelating heavy metals for nine years with all possible complications, you can trust me that I had enough time to study everything about it. People with mercury poisoning are usually very seriously ill, so only safe protocols are used because many people were harmed by well intentioned healthcare practitioners who used not proven chelators, IV chelators....you can not risk with contaminated zeolites, chlorella in these people. I prefer to read 100 real people's experiences than 100 studies. That's why I'm here and I read this forum.
Over the years I have done many hair analysis, but after I started taking herbs, kelp, the arsenic was higher.

Actually, a simple google scholar search provides studies claiming zeolite does have affinity for mercury and it is excreted in urine.

I think we are talking past eash other. You seem to be very mercury specific, I have been having the broader view overall not mercury specific. This is an A forum and zeolite has been recommended for A amongst others.

Is zeolite the best choice for mercury? I have no authority to even have an opinion about that. But for someone to say it does not remove any Hg from your body when there are studies confirming increased excretion in urine from zeolite, to me that doesnt sound right. If he means brain, then he shouldn't type body. Two different things.

From your experience you sure know the importance of clean products as there is a contamination risk, not only regarding zeolite. One should always make careful choices when starting a supplement and not just follow wallet, or an "expert". Always do own research and always listen to body.

I really do hope you get well @bludicka . You seem to have been through a lot. It is horrible to trust someones advice only to find out they made one sicker. At least you have learned a lot from your experience.

"Actually, a simple google scholar search provides studies claiming zeolite does have affinity for mercury and it is excreted in urine."

It's true... But it's just a partial truth. Zeolites can chelate mercury but they are not very effective on this in human body and it's not true chelator... If you eat garlic, you will have mercury in your urine...but it doesn't say anything about whether garlic is really good for systematic and SAFE mercury chelation, it's actually quite dangerous for mercury poisoned people who are sensitive to thiol foods.

And simple google scholar search provides, that vitamin A is essential for health...
Why are you doing low VA and low oxalate diet? Because you did simple google scholar search or because you have found the people who have real experiences with this diet, they had a great benefit from it  and they really know what they're talking about?
What is the reason for most people in this forum? Most of them believed the authorities about the benefits of vitamin A and VA rich diet.
But if you have serious health problems, the risk of a wrong decision and the consequences of it, is much greater.
If I want to know something about heavy metals, oxalates, vitamin A, copper toxicity, adrenal fatigue... I'll find the best of the best experts in the field  and especially I will find the people who have real experiences with this... Nowadays there is a huge advantage of facebook groups and many people come up with new ideas if they are discussing a problem.
I think Dr. Garrett Smith uses zeolites for glyphosate detox ....But whether zeolites are effective in binding VA? One just has to try it out.
You wrote: "Dr G has debunked the natural news zeolite article in his sheet."  How debunked?

"I really do hope you get well bludicka . You seem to have been through a lot. It is horrible to trust someones advice only to find out they made one sicker. At least you have learned a lot from your experience."

Thank you!

A few years ago I  tried HealthForce Superfoods, ZeoForce, Waiora NCD2 Zeolite 100% Natural Cellular Defense, then I tried Modifilan, modified citrus pectine, chlorella, activated charcoal, nanonized chlorella, zosterin -  pectin from sea-grass, ENTEROSGEL silica toxin binding gel, Hubner silica gel, chitosan, fulvic acid... The best was chlorella high doses, zeolites for mercury were weak,  I'm not just writing theory, I tried all binders. But really systematic long-term results I had only with the cutler's chelation.

You can buy pure silica binders without aluminium...e.g. Enterosgel.

Many people have positive effects with zeolites... Because they have yeast, candida, SIBO, biotoxins from mold, parasite problems, various toxins in the body, gut endotoxins.

Water filter test, copper and heavy metals:

some water filters as Brita add aluminium in water, because filtration media contain aluminium
Water filter test, glyphosate:

@bludicka you seem a tad hostile and extremely set in stone. This doesnt feel like a healthy discussion anymore but rather "I tell you listen ". That is why I am not approaching your reply. Remember your journey and experience is not everyone elses journey or experience.

@liz I apologize if I was hostile to you....it was not my intention.  I admit I am probably sometimes very critical. But if I didn't have a dose of flexibility in thinking and at the same time a dose of criticism, I would probably never dig out of my health problems.

There are so many different opinions on health...so many "authorities". Grant helped me a lot, practically saved my life but I am very far from considering vitamin A as a toxin, for me it's an essential nutrient. And I am sorry that very valuable thoughts are discredited in this way.... and it will discourage many people who simply have chronic vitamin A toxicity. And Dr. Garrett Smith makes the same mistake but the  people perceive him as authority and it can be dangerous. Why not leave some room for discussion, maybe the future will bring some new discoveries in this area as categorically insisting on the idea that vitamin A is a toxin. I am really curious where these ideas will be in 5-10 years.

As said on other treads, oxalates & cie are all toxins for humans because we are not meant to eat plants at least not in such quantities. We are not adapted for that.

Also I share the fact that A alone cannot be to blame since I have eaten lots of it (always through natural animal-based foods) and have no problem whatsoever with it. I dont doubt the fact that in excess it is destructive from head to toe but it cannot be the only and full reason (just a piece of the whole puzzle).
