@lil-chick last post from me about religion. Because you seem to be almost disturbed by this 1 christian vs 25 atheists.

Here you have Alex vs 25 christians. Also interesting observation. How for example atheist can have better knowledge on Bible and other religious stuff than believers themselves and most importantly how basically each believer believes in something different and has his own interpretation of rules that he believes in. Which I find the most hilarious. They simply just pick what they like and leave what they don't like.

But in general when I listen debate like this where it is very smart atheist with crazy detailed level of knowledge on what the religion actually says in their books vs someone who believes in god and even if he himself has similar detailed knowldge of his religion and what exactly those books say. It is cringe after cringe and you feel sorry for those people. Because it always comes down to reality vs what you want to believe to be true, but it simply is not supported by anything and it makes zero sense. Meanwhile what the atheist says ALL makes sense in our reality what where we have to live..

Anyways I am done with this topic hehe

Yes, I suppose talking about religion vs atheism is going down a rabbit hole.

If that guy's purpose is to show that these old books like the Bible and the Koran have bad stuff in them, good on him.    They do.

I don't think JP is a Christian. He's practicing moral therapeutic deism, but refuses to bow down to Jesus as God. I stopped watching philosophy debates early on in my Christian walk because it's fruitless, unless someone is given a revelation that Jesus is God, then you can't convince someone using logic. God can convince them if that's what He uses to reveal Himself to them, but I don't debate about it anymore. Is there any logic to someone being raised from the dead after 3 days? Is there any logic to a cripple being miraculously healed? No. We are not dealing with science, we are dealing with the supernatural.  Though I do think many come to know God when they study science and realize it's hogwash to believe we came from nothing with no creator, no designer, no nothing, just random chance and that there is ultimately no meaning to life? Yeah right.

My favorite Christian apologist tours colleges across the united states giving his talk "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist". He answers questions honestly and clearly:

Here is his most recent talk on "if God, why evil?" in honor of Charlie Kirk, because a lot of atheists main objection to Christianity is why God would allow evil, genocide, etc.

I popped into the "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist" video and was sort of reminded of Jordan Peterson in his heyday.    Seems like a very entertaining talk.

Just because I or maybe his wife (LOL) would rather see JP give up high-stress debates, I suppose it is probably in his nature to keep doing such things.   Hey, life doesn't end because you lose a debate, and if you learn something all the better.    It's probably in his nature to die of a heart attack after a stressful public event, rather than after trying to hike a tall mountain from his bucket list.

"Everyone you love will die

Everything you build will crumble

Everything you say will be forgotten

Everything you do will come to nothing

You and your identity will die and vanish

Unless

The resurrection is true"

From the second video I shared.

@janelle525 yeah I can see why some people believe in stuff like that. Unfortunately reality and nature doesn't give a shit at all. You see it everywhere you look. SO no wonder humans started believing in all kinds of things so it is easy to cope with this existence.

How can nature give a s***? Of course it doesn't. But humans are intelligently designed and are full of meaning unlike nature. And to think worshipping God is easy? Have you read even one chapter of the new testament? People were willing to die and give up everything for a man who claimed to be God. What saved me was reading Saint Paul's account. He was on the road to kill Jesus followers, had an encounter with Jesus and gave up his life to follow him. God revealed Himself to me through that. How could anyone who had that much hatred in their heart all of sudden turn and become loving and kind if Jesus is just a made up story? Kindness and love come from God, not man.
