Jordan Peterson is very ill: carnivore, pharmaceuticals

It isn't that, I'm totally into history.   Sure, keep these readings separately as important history readings.    But not as my religion.

I have sat in church and realized I could no longer say I was OK with many Bible readings.

The reading that changed my mind was the one in which God (supposedly) tested Abraham's faith by telling him to kill his son.

In fact, if a guy is willing to kill his son, I wouldn't work with him!

There's a little thing about "Do Not Kill", you know?

To me--he flunked--not passed the test.

Recently, I had the honor of reading a passage from the Bible at a funeral.   I actually didn't totally agree with the passage, but I read it anyways out of respect for the family and the church.    But these are the types of problematic things that happen... If you leave imperfect readings in your religious tome.

Then there are also loads of readings that I *would* include in the Lil Chick edition LOL, for instance:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

God asking Abraham to sacrifice his son is a story of deep meaning. That gives me goosebumps. It parallels God sacrificing his one and only son Jesus, God provided the ram instead of Abraham's son. There was no child sacrifice, God provided the sacrifice. Therefore God provides. And he has provided for me my entire life. So I give thanks always.

Killing as a sign of loyalty is something the mafia ask for, or a back alley gang.

He knew the outcome would not be killing, but Him providing the sacrifice for him which was a foretelling of Jesus who would come through his son Isaac. Many stories of the old testament speak of the coming of our Savior. Rich meaning and symbolism. But most people are autistic nowadays and read things literally.

@joe2

I'm sorry you were treated that way. I don't believe in preaching hellfire to people to get them to believe in God. That doesn't work in this day. I preach love. God is love. So to reject God is to reject His love for you and of course he's not going to force you to be with him for eternity, but being the God of all creation, what is absence of God? Darkness.

Also, I'd really love to know an error that's been found of the Bible that changes the meaning and our history? So far all I've ever seen are confirmation after confirmation that nothing has been changed.

We would all love to know those errors.  We are intentionally not in a position to catch them.  That is where censorship, revised editions and mandates come in.  That is why I suggest to learn the Scofield Bible.  It is an excellent example of bad faith actors who are almost getting away with their crimes.  It is humbling to see how vulnerable we all are.  So easy to mislead us that the misled are always the majority.  Ironic that studying blasphemy techniques can and does help us see through bad faith actors hiding (or just unaware of their misled faith) as good faith actors.

And like Miles Mathis' plots, Joe Atwill compels us to consider how wildly vulnerable we and all our ancestors are.  Whether or not Miles and Atwill are accurate is beside the point.  The fact that their ridiculously wild plots are plausible and usually much more plausible than the histories we were taught in school is the point.  I quit arguing about 911 decades ago.  I stick to the fact that I do not need to know what happened.  I do need to know what did not happen and that the stories I ws told to explain away this or that criminal are implausible.

That is why I like His Math.  If He is omniscient, omnipotent and good, then.....................  What grace flows from Him is in the definition.  Last I checked His Son was cool with a lack of church organizations and holy books.  It does not take a rocket surgeon to know that bankers' tables need to be flipped and broken when seen in temples.  Nor that we are misled when we think He shows up more in temples than any where else.  Nor that any one of us can ever grok His word better than any one else.

So I will stick to the scenario of Amelek.  Especially pertinent since that biblical military tactic is being openly advocated and used today.  What holy book could possibly be the Word of God that demanded the destruction of infants for their guilt?  Keep in mind too that in later chapters of that same book that the Israelites who failed to murder Amelek completely were later punished horrifically by that same so called deity written about in that so called holy scripture.

How about if you are schizophrenic and read it?

How bout if you are schizophrenic and do not know it?  Or if 5 out 6 of your known personalities vote that you are not?  Yeh, it sounds funny and flippant - until you work 8 hour shifts with seriously schizophrenic folk.  It is only painful in proportion to how much you love these people.  This guy has made the best progress of anyone I have seen.  Still scares bejeezus out of me for him and those around him that he is out in public.  Proud of him all the same.

Meanwhile, presents a great case in point.  Even the most accurate most profound holy book in this guy's hands yields dubious results.  Chalk that opinion up to long standing first hand experience.

Reading things literally and symbolically are far from mutually exclusive.  Neither are either of them flawed.  In fact how many times have folk argued that the Bible is the LITERAL Word?  How many times have folk argued that the Bible is literally an accurate historical document?

And yeh, no.  Not ok with anyone who intentionally deceives me or tests me.  Just as we are warned to not test Him, I know He does not test me.  Challenge?  For sure.  Test?  Well that would be failure on both our parts and one of us does not fail.  Ever.  That is Math.

Moldy cellar my ass, LOL.

Jordan also got the vax.

Jordan's biggest problem is probably that, as a trained psychologist he had too much trust in Pharma...  I've read that just two weeks on that drug he was on...can sign you up for 2 years of withdrawal.

Now, I will give you that when your elimination organs are all detoxed up and damaged....a moldy cellar might be more challenging than for someone who has good elimination organs.   Maybe mold *was* involved with what they are calling pneumonia...   I've seen with some of our older relatives that being very ill can result in neuro issues (like a sudden temporary onset of dementia and inability to walk that goes away as they recover).    He isn't that old, (63) but he has been through so much.

No it's not ass... Mold can be deadly for the right person.

He is doing the carnivore diet which can cause iron overload, when you've got too much iron you are way more vulnerable and sensitive to pathogens and mold from your iron levels being high.

HEE HEE I guess I was getting a bit full of myself there.    And I guess I did say that it could be involved in his pneumonia.    I just hate it when docs ignore the elephant in the room.

People do reach a level of unwellness in which clearing a cellar can put them in the hospital.    But resilient, healthy people would have been OK.

I'm probably in that category (of people who probably shouldn't clear cellars) LOL.    Mold happens in this world.    It's not gonna change for me.    I'm the thing that is wrong, me, delicate me!   🙂
