Fascinating, @ourania! Thank you. 🙂 I am glad you are both feeling so present and sharp and in good humor. 😁

Low lysine according to the PDE epilepsy treatment plan I looked at is 30-40mg per kg. I decided on max 3g a day. Luckily chronometer counts it. Meat is the highest. I’ve just reduced the amount of meat I eat. But not excluded meat as it’s nutritionally valuable. Back to the largely pescatarian diet I followed for 30 years!! Irony. I hate restrictive diets but while I’m working on the psychological-energy aspects of healing it would seem wise to not create excess B6 inactivating metabolites from lysine metabolism. I believe that balancing my nervous system will be the ultimate cure for my seizure risk (healthier mitochondria/better NAD availability/reduced pyroluria), however, I really want to stay away from a perfect storm situation so am watching lysine intake. The lysine/arginine ratio matters too.

Oh wow, so then three cups of legumes alone, nevermind all the beef, would’ve put you waaay over your current limit... 😧

No wonder eggs are a life-saver for you! (Being lower in lysine relative the choline they provide.)

As annoying as restriction is, if some foods aggravate your system terribly, it is ultimately a huge relief to know which foods won’t do so! I’m happy you have figured out this piece for yourself. Certainly seems important for you.

Funny that your long-term dietary pattern ends up suiting you in this regard...But isn’t that how it is? Rarely is any dietary inclination black-and-white...We always get something right, whatever approach we take.

Hopefully these new adjustments are helpful for you, @jaj—please let us know how it goes as you feel able! 😊☀️

Heard in a presentation that Vitamin K can regenerate dead and dying nerve cells.

I've had nerve pain for about a month, and a strange idea came to me...

Could this be part of detox or even rebuilding of nerves?

When nerves regenerate, is it painful?

Yes, nerve regeneration can be painful, often accompanied by strange sensations like tingling, buzzing, or sharp, shooting pains.

access to sauna?

Hi Joe2, I only have access to a broken sauna.    Maybe I should get it fixed.     Do you think it would help?    I was reading that my itchiness (when sweating) might actually be about nerve damage.   Maybe the nerves are trying to fix so that I can sweat properly.    I hope so.   I guess I can sort of see how forcing sweating might be useful.    Although I have a lot of trouble with heat, as you can imagine.

Spouse with similar heat issues.  Sauna first time in decades yesterday.  Amazing.  On all our issues.
