Aug 17, 2025Hi all, I figured I’d start by listing all the benefits I have seen since starting calcium. I introduced it over a year ago, but started taking it daily in late November/early December.
-My appetite and sweet tooth have lowered to where I am no longer ravenous or needing sugar to calm my detox symptoms.
-I have steadily lost 17 lbs since starting without changing my diet.
-My bowel movements have increased to 2 to 3 times a day on average.
-I am no longer sensitive to citrates, probiotics, and lactoferrin. I could not handle any of them at all.
-My memory has improved. I used to really struggle with my short and long term memory, but within the past few months I have had no problem recollecting things.
-My focus and ability to think through things has gotten so much better. I don’t get overwhelmed with my thoughts and can approach my thoughts in a calmer way.
-I have more energy than I have ever had in my life, but in a consistent and natural way. I can get 5 hours of sleep and hardly feel it the next day. I don’t get tired headaches or irritability like I used to. I also never need to take a nap.
-The desire to get dopamine has lessened. I also want to actively spend more time with my kids and do fun things. And I have lost the desire to shop or buy things excessively; I have been very content with just the essentials.
-My favorite benefit has been how I no longer get in long drawn out arguments with my husband and I think a bit more rationally in those times we do have disagreements and don’t stay upset for long. It’s really helped my marriage.
-Libido has increased as well for me and my husband. My body can finally relax and not tense up like it has in the past.
-My vision and astigmatism has improved and I have been able to completely drop wearing my glasses and contacts.
-I have hardly any PMS symptoms any more. There have been times where I realize what day it is and my period or ovulation is due the next day and I had no clue.
-I am no longer EMF sensitive. I can be near my router and various devices without having issues.
-My son has autism and I have him taking calcium as well. He has improved drastically with his social skills and now wants to actually interact with boys his own age. This has been really cool and such a blessing to witness. He has also improved his ADHD symptoms with focus and being able to have good quality conversations with us, something that we have not been able to really ever accomplish with him.
-My daughter used to be very combative and whiny and since beginning calcium that has stopped for her. She even requested it the other day cause she was going to a birthday party and said she wanted some so that she wouldn’t be stressed and could enjoy it more. She is only 6 years old.
Now here is my most recent testimonial that I would like to share. In June, I was under an immense amount of stress. It was chronic and a lot to handle. There were some points in June and early July where it got pretty bad and the calcium really helped me stay level headed. As time went on, all of that stress caused me to take more and more calcium to help alleviate the amount of stress I was experiencing. (I, in no way, advocate for this or suggest anyone do it.) I was taking quite a bit, especially with it being a full moon. For full transparency there were some days I was taking a full cup of calcium carbonate to help combat the stress. In hindsight, not my smartest move, but I was desperate with all that I had going on and not thinking clearly. Some incidents occurred that induced more stress for me and as a result, I started having a very high pulse and after pausing calcium, I began to have chest pain. To be on the safe side, I went to the ER to get checked out. They gave me the full gamut - EKG, comprehensive metabolic panel, and X-ray. This is where it gets interesting. My blood was only an 8.9 for calcium (the body does tightly regulate calcium in the blood, but I wanted to make sure to note this) and my other blood work was in normal range as well. Once finished, the doctor came back in and told me everything looked great - my EKG was normal as was my X-ray. I made sure to ask him if there were any calcifications present on my X-ray and he confirmed there weren’t. This was a pleasant surprise considering I had been taking huge doses of calcium for 8 months. The doctor concluded that my problems were all due to the high level of stress I was under; the stress was pushing reflux up and causing my esophagus to spasm and affect my chest. He even suggested I take an antacid to calm it down which I found funny. It has been a month since then and I have significantly decreased my stress level. Not only am I doing much better, but I have been able to decrease the amount of calcium I need to handle the stress. I think I waited a little bit too late to address the stress I was facing cause I might have avoided this if so, but then also I wouldn’t have learned what I have. While the doctor did not say this, looking back, I believe the combination of extreme stress and high calcium carbonate intake may have temporarily pushed me into a state of alkalosis and mineral imbalance. It has been tricky, but doable in getting myself back on track. It took me two weeks after lowering my calcium to realize it could possibly be alkalosis. I stopped my calcium intake for a full week and then have gradually added it back in. I started with calcium gluconate since it is a more neutral, gentle version of calcium and then I added calcium citrate and then some calcium carbonate. I have found that if I do too much calcium carbonate right now, I will get an alkalosis spike, but all I do is stop any minerals I’m taking for that day and allow my body to rebalance and I’m fine by the next day. During the week I took off, I did well for the most part. I had some acidity issues, but those quickly went away, and I also had some of my usual vitamin A toxicity symptoms come back (and they are still there a little since I’m not taking the amount of calcium I was), and I had some mineral redistribution symptoms. I am still unsure if stopping cold turkey helped though. Before I went to the hospital as I stated earlier, I stopped my calcium for two days and on the second day, that’s when the chest pains began. Now after researching it, I found that it was due to a mineral imbalance and when you have a mineral imbalance your brachial plexus is affected. It is a major nerve bundle that is affected when calcium and/or potassium are low and/or fluctuating. And funny enough, they can be triggered by stress. When the nerves in this region are overactive they can cause chest tightness, shortness of breath, and a buzzing feeling. These symptoms mimic heart issues, but they’re neuromuscular and mineral-driven, not cardiac in origin.
Now back to two weeks after and I suspected alkalosis. It wasn’t until a week after stopping that I started getting calcium deficiency symptoms. At first, I thought it could be a calcium utilization problem instead of a straight up deficiency. So I tried taking magnesium and vitamin K2 at separate times and they ended up intensifying the deficiency symptoms I was having. Since implementing the calcium, those have reduced, but I do believe I am in a maintenance phase instead of replenishing storage. My hip pain has come back intermittently and my mood is not as steady as it was, small prices to pay while I continue to heal. Another hindsight was that my body was giving me early signs that I was having a pH issue. I was having more body odor (which is a sign of mineral imbalance since detox is having to be forced through the skin) and inner ear inflammation. I will post my symptoms below for you all to see, but hopefully these are some early warning signs that can help if you are nervous about this happening to you. Despite all of this, calcium has been a huge benefit for me and I still stand by it, but as with anything we take, it needs to be respected and learned from. I pray that while humbled from my experience, it can help others understand better how to utilize calcium and balance it. Thanks all! 😊
Here are the alkalosis symptoms I noticed (some of these do overlap with potassium deficiency that can happen from alkalosis):
Apathy
Low energy
High resting pulse
Joint popping
Inner ear inflammation
Muscle spasms/twitches
Chest tightness
Lightheaded/dizzy/Spacy feeling
Wired/restlessness feeling with fatigue
Brain fog
Anxiety/panic feeling
Difficult to do a deep breath/Sighing a lot
Lack of digestion

Quote from Tropico on September 29, 2025, 9:13 amIt's interesting to note the same flawed path. To fight stress, I overindulged by trying to help myself with increasingly higher doses of calcium carbonate or coral calcium, upsetting my mineral balance and experiencing the same side effects described. I clearly made a mistake, which is why I repeat that supplementation must be carefully evaluated, both in terms of dosage and long-term use. When circulating retinol stores are depleted, my experience is that much less calcium is required. In the initial stages, it can really help tremendously, but then, lime water or skim milk is all that's needed.

Quote from Jiří on September 29, 2025, 10:07 am@tropico @joe2 It is all about balance. So I will repeat myself again. Nothing deals with this better than nutritional balancing with hair and ideally blood testing as well. I mean this is so basic knowledge that taking high dose calcium without other associated micronutrients especially in form of calcium carboate which is crazy alkaline and will disturb your stomach acid production and acid/base balance in general.
Yes calcium is calming mineral, but most people are slow oxidizers who have elevated calcium already. Even those people need calcium, but it is much lower amount.
To combat stress you need mostly magnesium with zinc, vit C, some B vitamins especially B1,B5 and potassium and sodium gets depleted fast as well. Basically you want to drink all day long plenty of fluids with all electrolytes not just pounding calcium.. But diet can get you only so far in extreme stress situations. For that you need to start using other strategies to force calming down your nervous system like mindful breathing/meditation. That is I would say the most powerful thing you can do. Just 10 minutes 3 times a day will make a huge difference. I mean special forces use breathing techniques to calm down in extreme situations. So I think it has to work really well for people in normal life as well.. 🙂
I really wish more people were into nutritional balancing. I would say it should be core knowledge that you can use as your foundation for everything you do in life.
So you don't do stupid mistakes like most people are doing all the time all their life. They simply don't know why they behave the way they behave or why they have this issue or that issue etc.. It can be all explained. The knowledge is there.
But I know as well that it is not fo everyone. Not everyone even wants to see or live the truth. I mean once you open that pandora box. You can't take it back and you become lonely in a sense. Because now you see why people do stuff they do. Why they behave the way they behave. What is the driving force behind it(when you know their story). and so you can't no longer live that life with them that is based on animal instinct basically..
But having said that. If I didn't have health issues basically my whole life and I was not force to be different. I would gladly live that "normal" life as most people do and diet in late 60s or 70s on some common cause of death.. That's for sure. Not thinking about anything. Just enjoy the ride as long as possible and call it a day..

Quote from Joseph on September 29, 2025, 10:32 amI would never go for hair mineral analysis, or stool for that matter (I just met a pharma guy the other day who said his dream was to have people send him their poop - to be analyzed at $500/pop). He also insisted that adjuvants in vaccines were carriers, and had nothing at all to do with inciting a response from (pissing off) the immune system..
Beef, beans, rice, salt and mineral (well) water. Far more balanced diet than the POWs Grant wrote about had, and those who survived came out remarkably well teeth/vision/skin wise. Leading me to believe that the body is self-correcting when given a chance (not tampered with due to man's hubris/impatience).

Just watched a silly show on TV where the young couple has two autistic children. The first born is pretty girl who suddenly turned autistic when she was two. No one asks what set it off. There are many reports, especially in the US, about parents who connect the dots: smiling, making eye contact, and within a week of some shot, the kid regresses, stops making eye-contact, and just spits random noises instead of the first words they've learned. It really is horrific, and it saddens me deeply that parents have to witness their child turn into a freak. And it angers me that we let Big Pharma rule over our lives so much.

The normalization of it in films definitely gets my dander up. One of the newer (godawful crap) Predator films features an autistic child, which the predator considers to be a higher evolution of man. In the American media atm Tylenol is supposedly now the cause of autism. I had a poker buddy just a few days ago tell me with a straight face that there was a lot of science to back it up..

Ew, Tylenol is the fall guy now?! It's all misdirection. And it's all upside down. What's bad is good, and what's good is bad. Autists are also commonly framed as superior in intelligence, when in fact, studies show the reverse. It's a serious handicap. And I don't mean the "Oh, I have difficulty reading other people's faces, too," and maybe I'm on the spectrum, blabla. If you're autistic, you have serious difficulties having a normal life.

Basically you want to drink all day long plenty of fluids with all electrolytes not just pounding calcium.. [...]
This is what I've done in the past years, without success; in fact, magnesium made me feel worse! B vitamins made me overexcited and hungry, because... I was deficient in calcium! When you do things haphazardly, this mess happens. I simply made a mistake with too much calcium; in the following months, I moved on to unbalancing the other minerals; too much of a good thing is bad.
But we should give calcium a chance to those who are starting a
vitamin Arestriction diet. There's a strong correlation.
