Thanks @are.

My recommendations are for dealing with Hypervitaminosis A but also apply if someone has taken Accutane. Some people seem to have allergies to certain carotenoids which is a very separate issue but doesn't tend to get identified as such here.

The carotenoid content of olive oil is extremely low and I fail to see how this concern even started. Fraudsters do add beta carotene to fake olive oil but fake olive oil probably has worse stuff to worry about than beta carotene lol. The strong tasting, expensive, locally produced olive oil is the product I would go for too.

I was advised to take steroids for adrenal insufficiency 2 1/2 years after the vaccine. I refused. So glad I did.

@tanveen

Hmmm, I thought about this all night and wonder, are steroids just putting off necessary detox?   If detox is put-off long enough, is there possibly just hell-to-pay because toxins didn't get cleaned up?   Perhaps somewhat like when women get on hormone replacement therapy for 10 years to get rid of hot flashes, and then find out they just put-off the hot flashes for 10 years and that there still is hell-to-pay.   (and by-the-way I think eating more fiber foods has helped with my hot flashes).

Before Grant's idea my husband had some issues with eczema and used steroids for decades.    With lowered VA the rash areas calmed as expected.   Lately (and yes, he's been eating more vitamin A) My husband's eczema is back.

So now I wonder, is this just going too high in vitamin A, or could it also be a "years later" backlash like in Tanveen's article.

It seems my head/face is where a lot of my VA got sent, and I would say (and yes I'm on the slow boat) that the areas of toxicity are shrinking every year... but gosh it isn't fast at all.   The area becomes smaller and smaller (somewhat like a shrinking circle) but there are hard bumps under there that are very stubborn and the areas peel and try to detox (erupt) still after all these years.   I've said before that every now and then one of them gets a blood "dot", and to me, that is the final little eruption and finally that bump has really finished detoxing.

I see peeling faces in the photos.   In fact, lots of my face, and my lips too, like to peel (detox?).    Others here have talked about it.   I don't mind it as long as there isn't accompanying redness.   Could even moisturizing slow down detox (if the damn thing wants to peel should we let it?).

I've gone back and forth in my life about shampoos and soaps, and currently am just using warm water on my face and scalp daily.    Don't look at me for a clue about this, I can see both sides of the coin.

As for myself I don't think I ever took steroids.   I suppose it is possible that I might have gotten second-hand steroids from close contact with husband.  I actually do think that is possible.

I’ve had a lot of peeling on my feet and do think it is a poisoning detox symptom. Skin has improved slightly - less dry and painful than it was.

I wonder why vitamin D is pushed so strongly in the nhs and it has steroid properties.
