haha
The Life Extension product at iHerb looks ok as well, D3, three different types of vK as well as iodine. I'm tempted to order the Jarrow one too, then I don't have to think about which form is best...

Quote from Jiří on October 20, 2020, 10:30 pm@tim-2 So I ordered this one, because I am not sure, but I think I had worse blood flow with taking that K1.. It is not ideal I think to have big dose like this in the blood at once.. So I will take just mk7 100-200mcg a day..

Yeah my tablets are 180 mcg, just one a day. They are small sugar melts, quite tasty lol.
Judging by the dust on the top of the bottles I bought from the pharmacy K2 is not that popular, I think it was the only K2 brand in the store too. Yet there are shelves of D3 with many different brands. I think K2 will be popular like that in another 10 years or so.

Yeah hope it helps. You don't have high levels of natural fluoride in your water do you?
I'm hoping K2 might help me get some hair regrowth.

Quote from Jiří on October 23, 2020, 8:57 am@tim-2 I don't know how much natural fluoride is in our tap water.. I take lugol iodine 3-4mg to make sure that I don't have iodine deficiency and/or toxicity in other halogens..

Well you know i'm cautious when it comes to iodine, the tolerable upper intake is 1.1 mg
Check out this study... this will apply to other carotenoids too...
Abstract
Elevated serum androgens are associated with increased prostate cancer risk. Tomato consumption is also associated with reduced prostate cancer incidence, and the primary tomato carotenoid, lycopene, may modulate androgen activation in the prostate, yet little is known about other tomato carotenoids. To evaluate interrelations between phytofluene, lycopene, or tomato powder consumption and androgen status, 8-wk-old male F344 rats (fed a control AIN 93G diet) were castrated or sham-operated and subsequently provided with daily oral supplementation of phytofluene or lycopene ( approximately 0.7 mg/d) or fed a 10% tomato powder supplemented diet (AIN 93G) for 4 d. Sham-operated rats provided with either phytofluene, lycopene, or tomato powder had approximately 40-50% lower serum testosterone concentrations than the sham-operated, control-fed group. Tissue and serum phytofluene and lycopene concentrations were greater in castrated rats than in sham-operated rats, which may have been due in part to a decrease of hepatic CYP 3A1 mRNA expression and benzyloxyresorufin-O-dealkylase activity. Some changes in prostatic and testicular steroidogenic enzyme mRNA expression were found; in particular, prostate 17 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 4 mRNA expression in castrated rats fed lycopene or tomato powder was 1.7-fold that of the sham-operated, control-fed group. Modest changes in mRNA expression of steroidogenic enzymes with short-term carotenoid intake may alter the flux of androgen synthesis to less potent compounds. Overall, results illustrate that short-term intake of tomato carotenoids significantly alters androgen status, which may partially be a mechanism by which tomato intake reduces prostate cancer risk.

Quote from Jiří on October 25, 2020, 12:52 am@tim-2 I think I depleted my iodine with high estrogen. Iodine is needed to brake down estradiol to other forms of estrogen that can be eliminated from the body.. Btw in Japan for example they were/are eating around 10-12mg easily from sea food and it is not like everyone there is walking with damaged thyroid.. Like I said iodine is very protective against estrogens and I think estrogen like chemicals or real estrogen from aromatase, birth control pills etc. is the main culprit in cancer. Prostate, breast etc.. Like I said estrogen goes hand in hand with copper. When estrogen goes up. Copper goes up. Estrogen promotes tissue growth and copper promotes angiogenesis It is perfect combo for cancer..

Iodine or thyroid hormone is needed for that?
Yeah that's a fair point about the Japanese, I would add though that we need to be careful about then concluding that 10mg is ok for us. They may have adapted to high iodine through natural selection. Inuit eat lots of liver, it might be good for them but definitely not for me. I focus on minimizing mercury, fluoride, chlorine and bromide exposure rather than increasing iodine intake.
In addition to increased aromatase, elevated levels of retinoic acid also inhibit androgen receptor activity. Over time as we deplete vA and take K2 and vD I expect easier strength and mass gains. I don't know if anti-estrogen activity in a food is a good thing but cruciferous veges do inhibit it. I read that pro bodybuilders normally take estrogen inhibiting drugs while they take steroids, that probably reduces the negative effects of steroids quite significantly.
