Don't know if I want to listen to it - did it seem like a set up as in the interviewer had already firm ideas and wanted to just insult and criticize the theory?

Grant you were kind and very respectful and that speaks volumes to me. He kept interrupting and hardly let you talk but I maybe this will get the ball rolling in peoples heads and they will check out your blog! God bless you!

Maybe the interviewer will read Grant's blog and be better informed next go-around.  Seeds were sown.  Grant, as Guest said, you were kind and respectful and gave very good information. Thanks for sharing the link, Guest!!

The interviewer is such a brick head know it all. Didn't let Grant finish one sentence and dismissed everything he said. Seems like he's on the carnivore trend. He's so convinced it's the carotenoids because the holy VA "ma cell differentiation! " can do no wrong. Lolz

No worries, I’m fine with it. This is a hard concept to accept. Not only do people usually need to reverse their own long held beliefs on it, we also need to overturn a huge amount of very entrenched prior science. I’m hopeful that with time, and more people reporting their results, it will be easier, and that Carl will become a strong ally in getting the message out.  Either way, I still appreciate the time he’s taken, and the exposure he’s added to it.

You did good. Only thing I would say is that I wish you would have brought up the fact that blood tests are not a reliable way to measure hypervitaminosis A, your liver can be full of it yet blood tests look normal. The interviewer was a bit annoying but it's reasonable to be skeptical about an idea like this, you have to "unlearn" a lot of things for it to make sense.

I'm sorry this turned out so badly. My first impression of him was correct after all. I had some discussion via FB with Carl after the interview and he was very difficult. He insisted that I take down my FB comments, which I didn't. He seems to have deleted the interview. He talks but doesn't listen. That's a problem with people who already have all the answers. He says neither of us have vitamin A toxicity--you were just allergic to tomatoes and I probably am deficient in iron (which would be hard for someone who has eaten red meat every day for the last 20 years!). I hope he remembers the symptoms of vit A toxicity so he will recognize it when he gets there.

Actually, i hace had issues with chronic anemia for 10 years. It first began when I started eating LCHF/Keto with an abundance of butter, fatty pork, liver, salmon and eggs, but with daily beef (=red meat) too. It didn't make any sense at all for me. I eat red meat daily how the heck can I be anemic AND have issues with low B12 as well? Eating like this also aged me horribly. In hindsight I understand it must have been the vit A overload causing it and even when changing my diet to remove the pork, liver, eggs aiming for more carb based diet the issue remained. For an additional 10 years. Until i started eating low A.

Just a little note about it actually is possible to be iron deficient despite eating meat every day (but it doesn't necessarily mean that is your case and yes I found that guy to be quite obnoxious as well).

This is the direction we need to be moving in my opinion, hopefully it's the first of many! I bet if grant's content had tens of thousands of views, followers and testimonials he would have taken Grant a bit more seriously. It's the unfortunate truth for a lot of people, they like to follow the herd.
