Salt sensitivity?

PreviousPage 2 of 2

My new idea is that stretching these muscles and tendons out so that they are back to normal length for your genetics...*might* be the answer.

I'm starting to see slight improvement in the cramp triggering, we'll see though.

I thought salt was to do with the ratio of minerals, and that's why the 'cheap' salt wasn't good as its sodium content is too high (and it is also sometimes laced with aluminium). Celtic sea salt, specifically allegedly has the lowest sodium levels.

If you're on a particular diet though eg. carnivore, I'm sure requrements for minerals/vits can change.

It's been several years now that I eat a salt-free diet providing only about 0,5g or less of salt per day from food.

Sea salt even at low intakes i.e. 3g/d seems to cause inflammation for me, and each time I try to reintroduce some in my diet I got dry cracking skin, redness, rashes, red pimples on thighs, and congestion.

Did some of you notice adverse reactions at such low intakes? What's you guys daily salt intake?

I've added in small amounts of sea salt again to see if might help this new dizziness/balance issue I'm having and my facial skin is now redder, more itchy, dryer lips (skin was looking great beforehand.) I've also upped my water intake but not drastically. I feel like I am excreting salt from my skin or could it be calcium coming out?
