That's probably exactly what they think hahah. Happy to hear your family is giving you that good energy
Quote from ggenereux on October 27, 2019, 7:14 amHi @thomas,I wrote about the "detox" trap on this blog post.
https://ggenereux.blog/2019/10/09/recent-survey-results/
It's not happening to everyone, but it still hugely concerning.
Just so that you know, the primary reason I continue with this diet now after 5.5 years is to prove a scientific point. It's not for health reasons. I think I could now reintroduce some va containing foods back into my diet and I'd probably be fine. But, even during just the last year I feel that my cardiovascular health is improving even more.

Thanks for the info! I also get those "detox" cycles, but feel better with each "detox" cycle.
Quote from bludicka on October 27, 2019, 7:55 amthree years ago I stopped talking about my health problems and treatment, everyone is already tired of it - I am tired too!, oxalate and low vitamin A diet - that would by too much and really sci-fi. But my friend asked me why I am not juicing carrots anymore and I told him there is a lot of glyphosates and it is concentrated in juice. I have no problems with my social life because it is zero :))).
I'm sorry to hear about these issues, I hope you get to the root of these problems. I try to keep information like that to myself now so if a friend asked me why I don't juice carrots anymore i'd just say something to get off the topic. Personally doesn't make me feel comfortable esp. if they aren't into health and nutrition (which is a LOT of my friends hahaha)
Quote from Eio on October 28, 2019, 6:56 amThomas, I am at 8 months eating low A foods. I don’t often get in situations where the only food has too much vitamin a or beta carotene but if I do I just eat some. I don’t usually notice any major setbacks. But I don’t crave any of those foods and stick with the low A foods daily. I did eat an egg yolk recently and got the return of burning eye for a few days so I will not overdo it anytime soon. If you can, do like Orion suggested and eat plain burgers or steak and potatoes. If you ask for plain (no toppings) 99 cent burgers at McDonald’s , they have to prepare them at that time and they are fresh and warm. At least that is our experience.
Just tell your friends you are a picky eater. Most of us are in some way or another. People who say they eat anything still have food items they won’t touch.
I personally try not to cheat as much as possible because of.. mainly anxiety. But i'm also an impatient person and don't want to spend too much time on the diet. I want to get it over with as quickly as i can.
I think that's exactly what i'll do. I've always preferred my burger without toppings since I can remember anyway

Quote from thomas on October 30, 2019, 3:40 amAlso I should've probably mentioned this way earlier, but since I can remember, I naturally hated foods with vegetables (still do).
Burger? "No toppings please." Salad? "That's nasty give me some meat." Couldn't even stand carrots dipped in ranch. This went on until about 3 years ago. I'd get most of my VA from either cheese, milk, or cereal, never eaten liver or anything like that in my life
I avoided eating vegetables for a long time. I'm surprised (and thankful) my parents didn't force me to eat too many greens as a child. I got a ton of sun, was very active, and felt great in general.
I didn't notice this but things slowly went downhill physically and mostly mentally as soon as i wanted to be a little "healthier" by eating more veggies and things like that. Then came the SUPER health freak side of me 2 years ago. Spirulina, sweet potatoes, vitamin A tablets, 3 eggs a day, lots of broccoli and kale, minimal sunlight.. Now we're here :p
It's almost like i'm in a time machine (even though im not that old!). I felt like I was 4x my age when I was only 17 which didn't feel great. I feel very alive now and i'd say 90% of my symptoms have vanished. If only I was this strict when i first started the diet
