Sexual Dimorphism, Healthy Growth & vA Depletion

Oh, ok. I'm Finnish and there was a time when I ate a lot of red meat and my resting heart rate was 120, blood pressure 140/90 and total cholesterol almost 600. I felt horrible all the time, like I could drop dead at any moment.

Then I stopped eating meat and everything changed. Resting heart rate became 50-60. Blood pressure 90/60 and total cholesterol dropped to 73.8!

I just hate the taste of meat and my body is dying when I eat it long term.

@arket, oh wow, then red meat is not good for you! I am sure when we are in tune with our bodies it will tell us what it needs. It can change too, so maybe I am going to eat differently in a year or two, who knows! The least thing I want to be is dogmatic. It is just not intelligent.

Did you eat a carnivore/paleo diet or a regular diet just with lots of meat, if I may ask?

My cholesterol was very high too but in a good way according to my doctor, and my one German doctor even scanned my veins and said they were completely clear so they was not worried.... I totally need to go and get some bloodwork done. I am so curious if anything has changed since eating so much fiber.

I did the regular keto thing and after that carnivore. Carnivore diet is when the shit really hit the fan. I used to fear for my life every time when I had to go poop, which was about once every 5th day on a carnivore diet. I had to strain so much that I started to see stars and usually I busted a vein in my eye.

Horrendous. How did you even continue suffering like that, I would have stopped immediately(I am not good in suffering). I never had issue going, doing carnivore. I went once a day, no constipation. My bowels never was happier! But I now think it was a bad idea to dont have fiber because of bile recirculating.

Funnily a guest at the restaurant I worked in in the spa hotel last 1,5 years, a guy come up to me after their dinner, and asked for my number. He told me he was a carnivore! I had not said anything to him, not about my food or anything else! He smoked though. He was a good looking guy but I dont like when men smoke(I used to be super addicted to nicotine) so I just asked for his number instead, and then I throw it in the trash...lol

The bean protocol is said to balance your hormones so I dont know if its that or also vitamin A depletion. Because i do both. But I like to think they both are contributing to healing.

Just out of curiosity, do you consume a cup and a half of nuts per day as Karen suggests?

Not true. You can just eat lean cuts of beef.

@tommy, no not that much. I do eat a whole bag of nuts (ca 130 grams) once in a while though when I get cravings for them. And I also include nuts some days a week. A couple handfuls. But my nut consume is on and off. I have a hard time to stop eating nuts they are addictive to me and I feel they make me gain weight so I try to limit it a bit. Except sometimes I give in..lol I also eat a little organic butter here and there. Because i love it. But way less than I used to.

BTW... my nails have gotten stronger too and are not breaking off like they used to! I need to start cutting them 🙂

To me this is a really good sign that my body is finally in repair mode and building up what was broken 🙂
