Sexual Dimorphism, Healthy Growth & vA Depletion

@arket it is funny. This Karen Hurd wants to reduce adrenaline with fiber from beans, but she doesn't understand that diet low in zinc and high in copper ( legumes and no red meat) leads to copper imbalance and that alone can/will increase sympathetic nervous system = hormones like adrenaline.. Not to mention with low fat bile flow will be impaired so copper elimination as well... I see how this protocol works short term, but in long run it just creates imbalances..

@andrew2 you are welcome! I realize I naturally mew, and breath through my nose as long as it is not clogged (another benefit doing this detox is that air is flowing easier through my nose!) and even if I had a very poor childhood with almost no protein (which lead to issues, I had a narrower jaw back then and I had to pull several teeth to have them fit my jaw later in school) as I started to eat more carnivorous 12 years ago my jaw broadened and now I have had people tell me I look like Helene Fischer. I do have a similarity, especially the jawline.

Are you doing Karen Hurd's bean protocol? If so then you do know that fatty meats are banned, so no beef.

well I do it my own way.. I do eat fattier meats too although I try to choose the less fatty ones. But I do need fat. I never follow any protocols religiously, got enough of dogma in my childhood. I adapt it to my needs, because everyone is different. I happen to feel great on more animal food and also some fat. But my ancestors are vikings so that might explain it.

Fiber will make your bile flow. I eat very low fat high fiber and I have no bile issues. Karen Hurd and none of her clients have any bile issues. You the "expert" who supposedly knows how bile is supposed to flow are the only one with bile flow issues.

I thought you were Finnish?

I am Norwegian. But born in Finland, went to school here and then  lived 18 years in Germany. Now I live in Finland again 🙂

maybe thats why I love red meat so much...lol I just need it. Its the base of my own food pyramide.

Karen isnt no fat. Its just for gallbladder issues at first. She eats tons of nuts and other not saturated fat sources. But I am not sure I agree on her idea saturated fat is only bad. I am starting to think fat adaptability and what fats suits your biology could be genetic......

I'm with Inger and crave meat at least once a day and eat eggs and dairy too.   I also have Northern European genes.  I've been there and done that with vegetarianism and veganism--not impressed.

It could be that more veg is what *some* people need and that is why you hear occasional good results.  It could be that we are designed to be able to subsist at least for a while without animal foods.   The flexibility is amazing.

But I do sort of feel like living without animal foods is an experiment and the grand majority of human beings on this planet have eaten animal foods.  We like them.  Not to mention that they are bland and *not* full of veg toxins.

The problem might not even be the protein aspect.

I stopped having migraines and chronic vomiting after about 2 years (it petered down slowly), to me those things were more about *daily poisoning* than long-term *injury*.    Long-term injury might take a very long time, but I think there is always hope.  A third aspect of our suffering is *detox*.    The lines between these things are sometimes blurry.

Oh, ok. I'm Finnish and there was a time when I ate a lot of red meat and my resting heart rate was 120, blood pressure 140/90 and total cholesterol almost 600. I felt horrible all the time, like I could drop dead at any moment.

Then I stopped eating meat and everything changed. Resting heart rate became 50-60. Blood pressure 90/60 and total cholesterol dropped to 73.8!

I just hate the taste of meat and my body is dying when I eat it long term.

So when we talk about "better" we are really talking about all 3 things:   daily poisoning symptoms, long-term injury, and detox symptoms.

I will try to return to the original post about whether people are feeling that their maleness or femaleness is working better for them now that they are trying to handle their hypervitaminosis A.

For me, daily poisoning symptoms were cranial pressure and vomiting sessions.   When I was in my fertile years I decided not to have any more children because I was too ill.   So, being free of these symptoms would have helped!   Pregnancy with migraines is not fun, let me tell you.   Once my kidney shut down during pregnancy and that was worse than labor.

As for long-term injury, I think possibly things like PCOS, endo, fibroids, and prostatitis, testicles not making enough sperm...might be examples of VA actual injury to reproductive organs.   There might also be injury that happens during growth when a child just doesn't develop properly due to VA.

The constant battle of detox might also take it's toll, sapping energy away from reproductive pursuits.   The body can be pretty smart about waiting to reproduce during times of stress.
