Slooowwww progress (almost at 6 months)

I eat butter. It helps me be more motivated mentally. I agree that it might not deplete me, but at the moment, we don't know that the depletion thing will bring some meaningful tolerance back.

I'm going with finding a diet that I can sustain over time and that puts me on the road to better health. As long as I'm seeing progress, I don't sweat a bit of A.

Lots of people doing Dr. Smith’s detox and having butter and they are doing good so I think the phytanic acid is helping. I only use butter to top bread or oatmeal.

Not sure if you are asking me. I posted previous reply and was going to leave my name but forgot.

Anyway, I'll answer just in case. I've been following Smith's diet. I don't have his official food list but have been reading all his posts and know pretty much what he recommends eating.

I've been putting off following Grants diet because it's so restrictive and I don't think I'll be able to stick to it.

If you think progress is too slow you could get more restrictive and you would probably see more progress. You don't have to eat like Grant did though. I don't think Smiths diet is restrictive enough for some people.

Here are some foods that have virtually no VA, in addition to those Grant ate: white wheat (so some breads), white potatoes, white corn, most wild game meats, parsnips, celeriac, nashi pears, sunflower oil, MCT oil, and more.
