@jaj and @sussan To explain further about the detox of vA : I think this is impaired while the body is in sympathetic mode, but ALSO when it is in parasympathetic mode, leaving the short vagus mode the only time when we can get rid of it. Any interference with the timings of the three modes will leave us with a bit more vA stuck in our bodies.

Today I read that there is a huge increase of pregabalin (Lyrica) use. This is supposed to put you in parasympathetic mode. But I read somewhere (sorry no source) that pregabalin may decrease the excretion of isotretinoin!!!! Not surprised.

It is interesting to note that our low vA diet is slowly steering us more and more into the vagus mode, the holy mode of saints who don't need to eat anymore, and have a clear view of their past, shedding the obstacles to a clear mind and achieving the dissolution of the influence of past traumas in their lives.

Thanks @ourania very interesting as always.

I haven’t heard of vagus mode. I always thought that detox took place in parasympathetic mode.

I’m currently practising Heartmath x3 times a day. It uses heart centred coherent breathing and positive mindset to get into a balanced state (shown by bars on a graph and a colour coded timeline). The bar graph shows sympathetic state on the left and parasympathetic on the right but in coherence the bars are in the middle. I wonder if this correlates with the vagus state? Just a thought. I’m finding the Heartmath very calming. I’ve done it every day since my seizure.

PS. I have ordered the book that was recommended (thank you @sussan). I’m not sure what holding the root chakra closed means. I googled and it’s all about opening the root chakra. The book will arrive later this week. After breakfast I will revisit the link you kindly added. So much to learn…thank you.

I hope not going too far off piste on your log Sussan? I can open a new thread?

Carole Maggio says in her book : "Pull back your stomach towards your spine as far as it will go, tighten the thighs and buttocks, to give your body an anchor".

Actually, this is what you achieve by doing mula and uddhiyana bandhas. Not only it fixes your seat, but IT STOPS lymph from going down, pushes it up where it will flush the head.

mula bandha : close firmly the anus then lift and close urethra region. In the beginning hard to do, but you soon realize that this is done in three successive pulls. Each time you do it your muscles become stronger. Because the book is aimed at wrinkled housewives, no mention is made of unspeakable parts, the author stops at thighs. Also no mention of this in her videos!!!!

Immediately following this do uddhiyana bandha, the flying one, pull in the stomach trying to affix it to your spine as high as you can. As a consequence of these two bandhas (locks) you have less room in your lungs for breathing but any exercise you do will affect the head more.

Doing this regularly will strengthen these muscles and straighten, even in a very small way, the end of your backbone. This will automatically free the neck, and even if it is just a little, it will allow better flow in and out of the head. No immediate results promised, but they DO happen!

Update on low A progress.

I haven’t posted lately due to busy with life and a job I started in August.  Plus I had been dealing with a brain tumor and yes it’s benign but made me deaf suddenly in my left ear in June of 2021.   It has been there before I started the low A program .  It could have been a result of that accutane treatment back in my twenties!

Improvements:

still no more acid on eyes in the morning.

My dreaming is incredible.  Every night!

Sleep is very good.

Still have some dryness in my eyes upon waking in the morning.  I could drink more water during the day???

my concern is the brain tumor because it is growing.  But maybe it isn’t growing as fast as it was.  I thought of trying vit E supplement for a couple months to see if it will help but I’m hearing all kinds of natural methods to shrink it but I got to be careful about diets cause I can’t afford to lose anymore weight.

My weight is stable.  But it isn’t dropping lately.

That is all for now.

@sussan I did a few things that might help the dry eyes. I ate iceberg lettuce quite regularly for a few months for nitrates to help nitric oxide. I ate organic spelt flour (about 75 grams a day usually in pancakes, apple sponges or beef burgers), quinoa (about 30 grams cooked) and/or fermented beetroot juice for betaine which is supposed to help dryness. I also ate 3-4 eggs a day for 8 months for extra choline. Choline can also help the eyes. My eyes are now quite lubricated when I blink.

Update;

the benign brain tumor I have which knocked out my left side hearing turned out to be a fast growing one and I ended up getting a gamma ray zap to stop it.  I’m lucky I didn’t have to do surgery.

As for the progress on health and detox of low A   I made a few modifications on the diet such as including eggs and recently increased my water consumption and drinking water between meals.

My eyes are rarely dry in the morning upon awakening.  My skin is good.  No burning.  No dry mouth.

I also incorporated a bit of the blood type diet in with the low A diet.

My stress levels have been still high unfortunately due to the job. More money more stress?  Probably.
