Testosterone and Vitamin D lab results .

Page 1 of 5Next

I recently did a lab test for Testosterone and Vitamin D , and surprisingly vitamin D is not that bad despite the fact that I didn't get sun since past 6 months. Also since I started following the low vitamin A diet , my. sex drive has increased a lot , so I wanted to get my testosterone checked as well , and results are borderline high.

Regarding Vitamin D , I think lowering Vitamin A has made it stable , also I don't see any need for supplementing Vitamin C anymore , my gums don't bleed as they used too before .

Things I have done recently

1 : Stick to 0 vitamin A diet ( lamb , rice , beans , water , salt )
2 : Smoking

having a high 8.0 testosterone I am concerned about this

@r-2 Was your total testosterone low pre low-VA?  Maybe others can chime in, but having free and total Testosterone high is what a lot of men are striving for?

I dont know pre-vitamin A , but for sure I didn't have a good sex drive before . Must have been in medium range back then .

SInce past few days I have been feeling fatigued and pain in my bones , so I thought may be testosterone was the issue . Might be a flare up in symptoms or something non-sopecific . I will go for liver and general tests soon , keep you guys posted .

Rest assured , if other people comment on it  , my testosterone is ok ? Do I need to go for free testosterone test to confirm ?

There is zero reason to be concerned about having high testosterone as a man. It’s a protective hormone. By the way, they adjust the range that is considered ”normal” downwards every decade, as mens testosterone levels keep dropping. 10 or 20 years ago your testosterone wouldn’t even be considered to be close to the upper end of normal.

This idea that smoking is good just because it can increase your DHT or help deplete vit A etc. is crazy hehe..

true! , I smoked only for two months , I think it only messed up my health , its a myth that it actually decreases Vitamin A . I dont recommend it

I wouldn't want to start an addiction, yikes

How has your performance in the gym improved since improving your testosterone levels.
