Very interesting points - Thank you Grant

Grant has published his 7 year update.

I noticed the idea that vit C is more needed because more bile is needed in case of vA toxicity. May be much less so otherwise.

And that more calories are needed because of inflammation and autoimmunity.

Thank you Grant for your help.

Interesting.

Retinoic Acid has been shown to decrease bile production. Another catch 22 scenario.

Lemons increase the ADH and ALDH enzymes.

@ggenereux2014 I wonder if there is a pattern in your night vision problems. Could you share the yearly periods when this happens? Maybe there is an infradian side to vA detox?

Also  I wonder about your blood clogging  the plasma machine. If this did not happen before it means something has changed in your blood. Any idea? Too many blood cells? Something to do with vit K due ti less vA?

You mentioned a bout of thiamine supplementation. Could you tell in which form?

Thank you again. This is all very interesting!

I had the same problem. I couldn't bleed myself. The fact is that free radicals trigger the process of blood clotting. And this leads to the platelet clots appear in the blood. I think vitamin E deficiency may be the cause. This is don't be surprised, given that Grant seems to adhere to an almost fat-free diet.

Night Vision:

Firstly, I want to try to explain the condition to people who have not experienced it. It’s as if I was wearing sunglasses at night. The nighttime vision is just not as bright as it should be. But, the condition did not at all affect my daytime vision.

The two other years this happened to me, it was in Dec / Jan. This year it was in May.  All three times it correlated to a prior period of dry eyes. I’ve always recovered from it and my nighttime vision returned to being very good. So, I’m not concerned about it.

Plasma Donations:

What was happening with some regularity was at the end stage of the process there was what the staff called a Red Blood spill.  This means that the centrifuge in the machine failed to fully separate the red blood cells out from the plasma and some of the red blood cells ended up in the plasma collection bag. When that happens, the collected plasma is considered not usable.  So, although it still achieved my personal goal, it is a waste of their time.

What I have noticed now it that when I do cut myself, (usually when woodworking) the wound heals very fast. So, it could be related to why I have a problem with the plasma donations. Regular blood donations are not a problem though.

Thank you. We also have this fast healing of wounds. This is related to vit K. Babies have this.

@armin

Can you post the title of the article you mentioned earlier?  I can't pull it up from the link.  Thanks.

Retinoic Acid has been shown to decrease bile production. Kind of that double edge sword.

@ggenereux2014 I'm wondering, how many hours do you sleep? I noticed that when I eat milk, a lot of egg whites, I sleep longer than if I eat just meat.
