Vision improvements
Quote from lil chick on August 23, 2021, 6:38 amI also think I have worse night vision and I don't know if it is periodic like Grant or all the time. Exactly like Grant says: like sunglasses at night. I'm not sure if that pre-dates going lowered VA, but I don't think so.
I can see great in bright light in the daytime and not half as well in dim light. (maybe same issue, if you think about it). But I already thought that BEFORE lowered VA. Since I noticed the daytime need for light, my guess would be that this could have been caused by my high VA issues.
My eyes have (not nearsighted, not farsighted) but astigmatism. The eyeballs are pointy, LOL. It's a *focusing problem*. I remember telling my eye doc that I see great in bright light and he said that is because *it is easier to focus*.
I would wonder if all the cranial pressure that I used to experience pre-lowered-VA squeezed my eyeballs because I never needed glasses until 40 years old. (Headaches are gone now)

People who want to hike at night train themselves to unfocus their eyes so that they are using a wider range of the scene in front of them. (maybe this is harder with pointy eyeballs? haha)
