No one has mentioned sex/orgasm, I'm pretty certain it can cause bile release, whether or not that can accelerate vitamin A depletion I am not sure, but I suspect, yes.

love this. I think sex and orgasms are really wonderful healers..

Hmmm... I feel a new chat-up line coming on for the single ladies... ''Shall we engage in a little physical vitamin A depletion activity tonight?''  🙂 🙂

@alastair it's more like zinc depletion for males..

Yeah, I was just gonna say what @jiri mentioned. Zinc is lost in semen. As for the healing part of sex, I don't know. Our culture is not really high on intimacy but much more on having sex like rabbits. Somewhere along the way we've lost our spirituality. At least when I think about the meat market Tinder and other dating apps which basically let you judge your (potential) sexual partners according to some pimped-up image. Okay, this sounds more cynical than I intended. I still believe in happily-every-after and true romance, which I think can definitely be healing. Okay, I digress.

I totally agree with you. I meant with true intimacy. Long time relationships. Rabbit sex would be the opposite of healing to me.

Rabbit sex...lol yikes! But that was a nice term 😉

When I mentioned bile release/sex in my earlier comment I should have mentioned whilst already following a low A lifestyle... based on my experience it seems like a possible trigger.

It could be the most important thing is a balanced varied diet. It could be keeping in small amounts of Vitamin A in the diet helps our bodies regulate and detox excess better. Eggs and organ meats (avoid liver) keep choline high as well. The variety tends to give us betaine. The variety tends to give us fibre and restoring gut health might be one of the best ways of detoxing as well. The restrictive diet has got say 50% in some trouble whether it's lack of nutrients, gut health, poor bile flow, lutein sensitivity, Vitamin A sensitivity, leaky gut and lack of micro nutrients. The detox might need more nutrients and good gut health might be helping absorption and B vitamins.

Nah I think my username starts with tim, I've pretty much only posted in the low vitamin A thread. Haven't posted there for a long time. Last time I was there I discovered some Peattard trolls had been posting about me being bald fat and ugly and the mods hadn't deleted their messages which put me off from continuing to post there.

Which is hilarious because peatardation is only attractive to people so obese they're ready to give themselves chronic endocrine disease just to lose weight. That puts Ray Peat diet in the same ballpark of ED behavior as inoculating yourself with intestinal parasites or laxative abuse.

It's also no wonder that a good chunk of his fanbase consists of dysmorphic gym nutjobs who inject random chemicals from the internet and will likely never survive past 50.

@anna2

Haha.

Tribalism serves us well in a stone age but not in internet forums.
