Weight loss?
Quote from Guest on February 26, 2019, 4:45 pmIt was always hard for me to go to bed without a snack. Now after supper I can easily fast through the night a good 12-14 hours and not feel shaky in the morning. My weight has actually gone up but I think things will level off. I too have noticed not needing as much food and I feel I have more control over cravings.

Quote from Liz on February 26, 2019, 10:54 pmI have entered the phase of ravenous-ness. It kicked in one week after surgery. I crave meat, mostly, and probably eat a pound a day, more some days. I have more fluid retention now but have afaik not gained anything really after starting eating a whole grocery store each day.
I actually had a pound of lamb's roast in one sitting the other day. I hope that craving goes away soon as it is burning a hole in my food budget 😂. I stick to 3 meals a day though, but evening meal is just one hour long fiest. I wish I could crave beans instead 😑 am peeing foam since starting on this meat frenzy though so I am probably craving it for a reason. I am a really bad meat/protein eater naturally otherwise and prefer carbs.

Quote from Orion on February 27, 2019, 6:33 amI am the same weight so far, but look leaner and with such healthy skin, great feeling! Big change is not having ravenous cravings for any food in the late afternoons before dinner. Also having warm hands and feet, closer to 100% of the time.

Quote from YH on February 27, 2019, 12:58 pmI went from 148 to 158. At first my clothes were tight from edema, but after the swelling went away, my clothes fit the same. I gained weight with no apparent fat gain over 7 months.

Quote from Mokus on February 27, 2019, 5:25 pmSounds like this way of eating is sustaining many for a longer time between meals and eventually needing less. Great to hear no shaking in the morning Guest and less craving issues.
Liz sounds like your body is guiding you to what it needs. I don't always find I am aware of what my body needs however it is getting better. I feel it can be many layered and hopefully we get more in tune with our needs.
I have noticed less cravings or easier to manage and seems to relate to having meat for me.

Quote from eliza1275 on February 27, 2019, 5:46 pmI actually had lost weight due to vitamin A toxicity, even though I was already underweight. I believe that I was not absorbing (to put it politely) enough nutrients. Now that I am eating things that I can absorb, I am gaining weight - which is good, since I am still underweight. I will say that my waistline is staying small, and I am gaining in areas that I should be.
I do think that if I were eating rice, beef, and beans like Grant, I would be losing weight, or at the very least not gaining. But in addition to beef and potatoes, I am eating a whole bag (8 oz or so) of potato chips a day to ensure I get enough fat, so my weight is going up very slowly.
