Why Croatia?
Quote from Alex on March 6, 2023, 12:28 pmI’ve taken the plunge and moved to Costa Rica for a few months Paul Saladino style.
I hadn’t been somewhere hot since 2018 and only left London one since then to go to Sweden for a short trip.
Having no sun and cold weather in London was really not helping my health, there was also some bad toxin leak in my families house that never resolved since October which really messed everything up for me health wise there.
Will let you know how it goes, I went to the farmers market here yesterday and it is full of brightly coloured carotenoid fruit and veg like mangos, papayas, , purple sweet potatoes. But it feels right to eat the tropical fruit here in this hot climate, I believe when one is in the sun daily then the body is better with dealing with these foods, carotenoids also provide some protection against the sun too.
I’m in San Jose for now which is high altitude so that helps my metabolism, but my plan is to go to Santa Teresa a beach town soon where you can do surfing, yoga , swimming everyday.

Quote from Jiří on March 6, 2023, 1:19 pm@alexm just be careful with sun exposure if you are not adapted to it.. It is still oxidative stress for the body. So don't burn your skin.. I would stay away the sun from 11 am to 2pm...

Quote from Alex on March 6, 2023, 3:36 pm@jiri yeah thanks I already got burnt on my neck, so I’m gonna stay in the city for a bit until I move to the beach town where it’s full on heat.
I’m also going to try and find some natural sun cream that has zinc oxide, I do remember two years ago when I was eating grass fed beef tallow I stopped burning in the sun, and I also saw a post recently on RP forum with someone saying they stopped burning when they started eating more saturated fat.

Quote from Alex on May 4, 2023, 4:39 amHere’s an update about how my Costa Rica trip went, I will just mention first that was not me who has been posting on you know who’s Mighty network VA group in the last few months. I let a friend use my account while I was away, as he was following that approach because it worked for him and he wanted to ask some questions there for himself. So just mentioning this incase anyone was wondering as I know some people keep tabs there still. Me and my friend have completely different diets and supplement approaches.
When I got to the beach town in Costa Rica my bile production and gut motility were a million times better, I had dark brown stools 3-5x a day firm and sold no need to wipe. My diet there was sugar heavy/Ray peat like: I ate lots of tubs of ice cream, lots of chocolate chip banana bread, lots of gourmet cookies, lots of orange juice then chicken or beef cooked in coconut oil, not as frequently pineapple sometimes, coconut water from coconuts sometimes, banana sometimes, bottled water, goats yogurt/milk, blue corn flour and occasionally rice and beans but they use vegetable/seeds oil to make that so I avoided it for the main part. Sucrose seemed to much work better for me than fructose. I really didn’t feel like fruit much at all there. A high sugar/low fiber diet works much better in hotter environments for sure. In the end I stopped craving ice cream as much and started eating tons of this chocolate chip banana bread and these gourmet cookies everyday. The ingredients in the cookies and banana bread were baking soda, eggs, flour, sugar, banana, chocolate chips. I lived close to an organic store, if I was having lower quality non organic products then this approach wouldn’t have worked so well.
Towards the end I stopped craving meat much at all probably because my bacterial/fungal load had increased too much. I was always wondering at the time if I was feeding bad bacteria and yeast with all the sugar or would my better bile flow and improved gut motility be avoiding that issue. And if my daily sun exposure was keeping my immune system in check. Well it seems I must have been feeding yeast and bad bacteria because towards the end I had very slight boughts of confusion in certain environments. If a place used an alcohol disinfectant spray I would have some autistic symptoms probably because the alcohol puts extra burden on an already burdened ALDH from yeast and bacteria I have inside of me. I also ran out of vitamin b3 which really helps with NAD levels, glucose metabolism and protecting against pathogens so that may have avoided this issue.
I was really craving a ox bile and digestive enzyme supplement randomly when I was there so I think that would have helped a lot too if I had had one with me. A B complex woulda helped me a lot too probably. I only brought with me b1,b2, a bit of b3 at the beginning and b9 with me. Then I also had zinc, selenium, mag, MB, probiotics, Pectasol, PC.
I don’t know how Paul Saladino eats the grass fed beef from there raw as I bought the same meat from the same store as he does, even when I cooked it well sometimes it had too much bad bacteria and I didn’t feel good but taking MB and the Sporebiotic afterwards fixed it quick. So I’m thinking that could be why Saladino has looked cracked out slightly in the past because he is high in endotoxin. Recently though Saladino is looking much better and younger, I assume he has worked on reducing his high iron levels.
Methylene blue and mega Sporebiotic were 100% needed as antibacterials and reducing endotoxin while I was there as there are higher bacteria levels in hotter environments.
I joined the gym while I was there and started working out and doing weight lifting for the first time in three years. Basically it seems like my zinc transporters are down usually but after going to the gym I crave zinc badly suddenly and it has a much better effect than usual. Which I guess could be due to it being required for steroid hormone synthesis and also higher T improves bile flow.
Walking bare foot on the beach (grounding) didn’t seem to do much for me there in terms of feeling of better but if I put my body against a certain tree (tree hugging as they call it) I got strong grounding and increased wellbeing effects. It only worked on certain trees though I guess because some are damaged or have absorbed toxic stuff.
There was one brand of bottled water there which seemed ok, however half the ones I bought from the same brand gave me brain fog and half I felt fine from so I guess it was to do with plastics or dust leaking into the bottles.
Going surfing and getting wiped out by waves cleaned/cleared out my sinuses, eyes, back of the nasal cavities/nasrophynx and I felt a lot better after some surf sessions. There has been some research that a large percentage of people have latent viruses, bacterial infections and fungi in the nasrophynx area and this is a blind spot for the immune system as Vit D from the sun can’t reach those areas. The research is saying this can be a cause of some ME/CFS and long Covid cases. This CFS protocol I keep an eye on has a antiseptic rinse recipe to clear infections from the nasrophynx, inner ears and lungs.

Quote from Alex on May 4, 2023, 3:25 pmI think for anyone who has struggled on Low Vit A , consider changing your environment and taking a trip to a hot country with the sea if you have the funds available to.
I think if you still have issues after a long time of low Vit A then there is something toxic in your home environment or diet that is halting your progress. Or you just have unaddressed pathogens, heavy metal toxicity and mineral deficiencies.
I would also try and go somewhere that has access to an organic grocery store. And make your own food there as restaurant food can be high in bacteria and other bad stuff.
