Indeed, among all retinoids I react faster to lutein containing foods with dry eye symptoms. Even after many years on low vA diet.
What are your signature lutein containing foods?
Among those I ate before (low vA diet) and stopped : lentils, olives and derivatives, chamomile tea, vegetable soups, surely some others I forget..
oatmeal?
No I did/do not eat oatmeal. Maybe that list is pretty much all I ate with lutein actually..

Quote from Tanveen on March 8, 2026, 12:48 pmLentils/dahl were also problematic for me (made my stomach swell). On the Ayurvedic diet I was advised to eat rice and Dahl to ‘start the digestive fire’ again and it did not work. Celery and chamomile also make me feel sick but could be for some other reason. Tomatoes problematic.

Interesting. 38 months of daily oatmeal now. Lutein in oatmeal was the biggest caution I herad for doing it.
