Yeah , it this problem
Demasiada lactosa.
Steve Jobs ate a lot of fruits and vegetables and died of pancreatic cancer. He ate a diet devoid of iron and died of cancer.

What is ferritin? What does it do? What does it indicate? Why would anyone want to get their levels down?
Also of note, when I started low vA I came off 12 years of keto. Symptoms indicated lack of bifido. Way too much lacto. Been slowly bringing back bifido since. Was told that keto and carnivore starves bifido out. Complete lack of bifido is routine for everyone keto carnivore.
Yep, I'm starting to see now that my already struggling bifido were probably killed on my carnivorish diet (with little added fibers....who knows what migth've happened if I even didn't do that).
It was/is a perpetuating downward spiral. The issues I had which led me to cut out lots of food overtime,in order to find some relief, led me to (unknowingly) decreasing my Bifido's and the lower(ed) bifido's in turn led to even worse digestion, lowered immunity etc. Explains perfectly why I never seemed able to even go a day without taking probiotics.
The important thing is to mobilize the iron. The carnivore diet makes you feel better at first since you have a lot of available heme iron, but over time, more and more iron accumulates and you fall. The ketogenic diet is inflammatory, and the Ray-Peat diet has a lot of milk, which prevents the iron from being absorbed. A diet low in vitamin A does not mobilize iron; it all goes to the liver, therefore, you will feel better. The iron will be in the liver and not the body, as there is no vitamin A to mobilize it.

Hepcidin increases with a diet low in vitamin A. If you eat foods rich in vitamin A, your iron absorption increases. When we're sick, we don't want that. That's why people react badly to vitamin A. What we have to do is mobilize the iron in the body, not eat more iron. Over time, many people with low vitamin A develop symptoms of hypothyroidism; without iron, the most important mineral for the thyroid. Grant has these symptoms; he doesn't sweat and eats little. Donating blood is saving him; otherwise, Grant would be sick. The vitamin A diet is a band-aid, not a cure. A diet high in vitamin A and meat creates a lot of inflammation. I've already gone through the studies here. A dairy-only diet doesn't create inflammation, and neither does a meat-only diet at first, which is why it's important.

Quote from Joe2 on September 17, 2025, 11:45 amLots of definitive statements made here. Curious what basis there is for them.
Steve Jobs died of pancreatic cancer because he favored a fruitarian diet for so long. I tried it. Easy at first. Huge relief as zero load on pancreas to produce enzymes. Sooner not later, deficiencies especially protein related pop up. Eating meat again is required and difficult. After months with zero protein, pancreas has no protein available to make proteolytic enzymes needed to digest protein. Fruit and or iron were the least of Steve Jobs' problems.
BTW, my inflammation went to zero while I was fruitarian. That lasted a few months. My inflammation went to zero during my keto / paleo / carnivore years too. That lasted 12 years. Have seen zero evidence in my experience nor others I talk with that keto is inflammatory. In fact just the opposite. Most of us who used these diets did so to decrease inflammation. It worked.
Given my and others long experience with gut health, guessing that lack of bifido is a serious problem. Easy to resolve and takes a long time. Bifido needs a steady supply of carbohydrates and fiber. Also interesting to see increasing evidence that the coophid jabs look like they uniformly destroy bifido.
Curious how many people have argued that Grant is sick because of ............................... Fill in that blank how you will. I am betting that no one here is in as good a health as Grant. The same is true on every other low vA group I have seen so far. Grant comes up with an odd thing that no longer bothers him and it gets thrown out as a symptom by others. Look Grant is not sweating except during extremes of temperature and exercise. He is sick. Look Grant is abnormally strong. He is sick.
As ever my bet is that we need to work with simple easily tested ideas. Not long drawn out elaborate theories with all sorts of pharma marketed tests filled with metabolic minutiae and mental gymnastics. How are we feeling and performing. What simple things are we eating? What tiny change can we make to test to see if it brings improvement or other symptoms?
