B12, autoimmunity, stomach lining, broken guts

PreviousPage 4 of 5Next

I stopped taking the topical B12 oil recently after about one week experimenting with it, it does contain methylB12.  Taking it while potentially having issues with folate and methylation cited in another thread, makes sense it would maybe cause things to go wrong.

After about a week, my skin was doing good, but then flaring up with breakouts.   I do better without for now.

But it does seem to have improved my sleep which has stuck after stopping it.   Was a good experiment to try, but will leave it on the shelf and maybe test after a summer full of sunbathing and continued low VA.   I will be at 3yrs low VA then.

I'm glad your sleep improved with some B12 @orion!  Maybe you will know when you need a smack of the B12 because your sleep will revert?    I am happy with the effect on my sleep as well and want to see how far I can push it.

I'm taking a half dose of the b12 and a half dose of the complex almost daily.

As I wrote in another thread, I think that my BM's have gotten more toxic and my urine less on this routine.  This is also welcome to me because the front plumbing was suffering.  I can see that the back plumbing will eventually suffer haha.   Skin got itchy but that has waned.  My face is a bit worse but not horrible.   After about 2 weeks I thought words were coming a bit easier.

I did hurt my back this week.  Silly me, I tried sprinting.  The stiffness is already waning.  I often hurt my back in spring, but I do think the B12 has stirred up some vertebra things.

I probably need to go a bit slower with the B12.

I try to listen to my hankerings.  Interesting observation:  it appears that supplementing B12 dampens my desire for meat.  I've realized that on days that I'm taking B12 I want carby and/or fatty food.   It makes me think that meat appetite might be related to the body's desire to keep B12 levels up.  I suppose that loosing the appetite for meat isn't such a great thing, if we need good protein to get through this detox thing.

I especially want POTATOEs and when I couple this with the fact that we've both had  painful muscle cramps lately, it makes me think of the need for potassium.

I've had two b12 shots recently, my heart rate has dropped to a pretty stable 80-90bpm whereas before it would sit consistently at 95-100+bpm while at rest, and it has been that way since I was 17 or so

Going to keep getting shots, i've tried cyanocobalamin tablets which did little to nothing for reference

This is a double post, I also placed it on the thread about the KFC kid.   Hearing and vision loss on a deficient diet NOT due to low VA but instead due to low B12, which needed to be assessed with homocysteine levels and methylmalonic acid and NOT just by testing B12 levels (which were normal).  He needed B12 shots.

Spoiler alert:  Same video blogger, this woman's B12 issues are the result of tape worm.

I find it strange that so many talk about anti-parasiticals helping with covid.  Makes me wonder how many of us actually have unknown parasites.

Measuring heart rates in the 60-70 range at rest now, pretty stoked because I haven't changed anything else so i'm chalking it up to the b12. Exercise tolerance has shot way up too

I've never been anemic, so maybe I've had a subclinical deficiency for a while

Has anyone else here had elevated b12 serum? It's been elevated for me in both blood tests I've done this year.

IDK how much elevated it was for me but I used to have very high B12 and I used to think it was a good thing.. I need to go and check my blood work. I have not had a blood work done in a couple years and i really need to get one because I am so curious about if anything has changed!
