Quote from tim on April 1, 2021, 6:39 amAt least if you get acne from B12 then you know you're absorbing it... High serum B12 levels aren't good but it's generally only a problem in those with poor liver or kidney function, I wouldn't worry about temporary high levels from supplementation.
Retinoic acid depletes B12 which means it may induce higher serum B12 levels before deficiency occurs similar to how it creates elevated levels of calcitriol before vitamin D deficiency occurs. So people with Hypervitaminosis A may be B12 deficient and then get put off taking B12 after trying it out and seeing an increase in acne...

Quote from Orion on April 3, 2021, 7:03 amSo far the B12 oil(Adenosyl/Methyl) doesn't seem to have backfired like most supplements. Sleep has stayed this same, and no acne breakouts, seems that skin might be doing better but to soon to say for sure.
Noticing increased hunger, feeling more fatigued and slight throbbing in head few times per day, not headache, just a minor throbbing.
Just doing one drop spread over wrists and top of my feet.

Quote from Ourania on April 3, 2021, 7:20 amI do this not more than once a week, because it seems to speed detox. Of course if you have a long time of detoxing done, it would help to continue I suppose. Just be careful with it. Good luck!
Dr Greg seems to have a lot of saisfied customers.

In many case reports, as well as dozens of individual accounts, I’ve read of the symptoms of b12 deficiency getting profoundly worse upon supplementation. I have experienced this myself and can attest to how strange it truly is. I’ve found some interesting research that I’d like to share, with the hopes of starting a conversation that might help get to the bottom of this issue.
I confirm, after B12 shot I initially felt tired, weakness of the legs...

Quote from tim on April 4, 2021, 11:51 pmExess pyridoxine causes P5P deficiency. I wonder if deficiency symptoms from B12 supplementation can occur in a similar way.

Quote from lil chick on April 5, 2021, 4:27 amDid you ever have a broken bone or a bad cut that felt icky for weeks as it healed? The area can feel very warm, and sore, sometimes achey, it can pound with your heart beat. And almost always itchy too!
Let's say my tongue problems are about B12 deficiency but also maybe about VA too. So the B12 starts floating past in the liquid I'm taking (and the other B vities in the complex I'm taking are in the blood stream too). The cells absorb the long-needed vitamins and VA detox proceeds--never fun. Not only that, poorly-made cells have to go too. After the demo phase, the body starts building a tongue with a better surface that actually can handle some mouth care! And then finally symptoms subside (hopefully!)
I also have an idea that B12 deficiency looks like lack of blood, (it's called anemia after all) so you might suddenly have adequate blood ending up in areas that have been a bit of a blood "desert". I'm sure that's kind of strange. Those areas that have been limping along with low supplies of everything and low detox are finally able to renovate.
Not only renovation, but maybe hydration too. I feel like I'm suddenly sweating more, and sweating is an important thing that I haven't been doing much of. Perhaps the desert metaphor is apt. Sweating, for me, leads to itching-- as I'm quite sure my sweat is always detoxing VA.
My tinnitus is very variable on the B12. And some itchiness in my ears too. Stuff is happening.

@ourania I did slow down the dosage, I think using once or twice a week, might be best. Did seem it could be negatively affecting my skin, with too high dosing.
How did you decide to dose only once per week, do you think enough is absorbed?

Quote from Ourania on April 6, 2021, 6:59 amI know that I need extra B12, found out this oil was the only one that had a real effect on me.
However the reason why I needed B12 (and this is a life-long problem for me seen from blood tests) I did not know. When I started supplementing with lipophilic thiamine, it steemed to fix it. But I had to stop using lipophilic thiamine more than a couple of times a week, because this gives me VA detox symptoms; quite unpleasant.
I feel good one one drop of the B12 oil ince a week, more or less. So I do not add more.
Just the fact that it makes me feel good in small amounts and increases detox in bigger amounts proves that it is absorbed no problem; Other types of B12 I tried did no have this effect. I did not try injections though. I would not because one injected it might be too much and then what can I do to escape the consequences?

Quote from lil chick on April 6, 2021, 3:50 pmHi Guys, I have been noticing that I actually sleep BETTER when dosing B12. And it seems like I'm past some sort of initial phase (where I was having bloating). So, we are back to daily. However, we are taking half dose of the B12, and a half dose of the B spectrum. My face doesn't look so great, but my lips maybe? look better on B12. For me, I love SLEEP and it trumps face. I waffle a lot, so don't be surprised if I do eventually max out on this. As with you I'm just trying to be intuitive about what I need.
