B12, autoimmunity, stomach lining, broken guts

PreviousPage 2 of 5Next
Got my B12 oil yesterday, just tested one drop spread over wrists and top of my feet this morning. Most every supp gives me insomnia these days, hoping that is not the case tonight! My sleep is so much better now, but still very reactive to changes supplements cause.  Will post some updates here.

I think the most significant side effect of B12 supplementation is that it can cause acne in some people. I've witnessed it first hand just recently, I got some acne on my temples and nose after heavy supplementation of it.

@tim-2  Any thought on why the acne happens, increased sebum production, likely a shift to more carb metabolism over fat metabolism?

I still have really oily skin on my face, and some plugged pores, so will have to see what happens.   Did the B12 make you more prone to oily skin?

Wanted to add that biotin, does the above to me, increased oily skin and increased acne.

I think the answer is simple, B12 causes acne because it is helping blocked detox.  B12 made my rosacea flare.

It's odd that I sometimes miss messages.  I missed the new message on the previous page by @tropico, thanks for that with the picture of the tongue.

My tongue is changing and a bit sore with the B12 supplementation. I would say my tongue probably has some B12 symptoms.   it gets sore easy, and it is scalloped.  Another sign for me that B12 might be "a thing" in my case.

My back is itchy with the B12, a symptom that had gone away with lowered VA.

I have trouble with, I think, quite toxic urine and I think the B12 is helping with that, and I feel that to quote @jiri "I'm pooping better".  Like to write home about.    And I was a good pooper to start with.

@orion I think that in general I have only noticed helps with sleep with the B12.  We have had a little bit of waking up with low grade detox headaches with the B12.

I think the scariest thing for me is that feeling of bloating that we both experienced early on.  I think this could actually be slightly dangerous.  My thought was that we were making lots of blood suddenly!  It is called B12 anemia after all.  That is why I slowed down and stopped taking it daily.

I think words are coming more easily to me, I noticed that two days ago.

One of my vertebra is going through something back there, but just inflamed a bit and not debilitating me.

I have one more strange symptom that is new and hard to describe.  And that is a strange sensation in the tail area where the tail meets the cheeks.    It seems to be brought on by leg exertion.    Something is going on.  Somewhat like a... butt cramp?    LOL.  Hubs has had some leg cramps.  Perhaps say something is going on with what @ourania talks about:  Fascia?  I've also been looking at older people and thinking about how many seem to be bony even if fleshy...  as if there is flesh missing in places where it should be, like bones being visible in the hands or along the forearms.  I have had trouble (in the past) with my butt not being fleshy enough over the leg bones and will get a sore butt in a hard chair.   I've added half a banana to breakfast in case we are running low on potassium.

Hard to tell re oily skin but I don't think so. No idea why B12 promotes acne.

I wonder.  If B12 is often a problem in VA toxicity... does that aspect of the condition overturn more quickly in the young?   And perhaps that would explain why people like Thomas get good results quick.  Sometimes... I think I've seen young people spontaneously overcome what appeared to be VA symptoms.    VA toxicity seems to be more of a continuous downward spiral for those of a certain age.

B12 deficiency can be about alcohol consumption.  Grant doesn't include alcohol.
